@gjmartin, what engine do you have in your car. I did this to mine & found that afterwards I have problems with stop/start on the car. I found to get round them was have the key in position 1 not in 2. After that it was fine, plus there was no light & sounds from the cluster. The engine in mine is 1.6l DV6C
