  1. It will say ford because it will have a ford part number. but the amp etc inside the unit etc etc is made by sony, Ford are now switching to Bang & Olufson I notice the sound improvement Immiediatly over a ford standard unit. Ford were using Visteon-Sony
  2. Be sure to update your headunit software to version 3.10 (sync 2 update) unless you have sync 3. The sound comes out at the rear much better after the update. Let me know how you get on with the upgraded speakers :-) Jamie
  3. From experiance with living with Ford cars since the 1980's Ford has used a paper mix cone, its nothing new, and tbh theres nothing wrong with paper cones, That is why they offer an upgrade either as an accessory at the dealer or a factory fitted option ie upgraded system for example like mine i chose the Premium Nav option which included 10 Premium Sony Blue Plastic cone speakers, i say plastic but im sure they are not just plastic, Plus, You can fit 1000W speakers in each corner but they will Likely only be fed with 20Watts Each, Due to the power rating of the *amp installed If you want to install a seperate amp then that leads you down the Modified Garden path. And TBH Im impressed by the sound quality from my sound system, Jamie
  4. I will be looking in my spare wheel well tomorrow. I will reply if i find water. etc Jamie
  5. Hi I dont have a roof box BUT Take a look at the ford accessories site for some inspiration That way you can get an understanding of what you can fit to your car, Hope this helps somewhat Jamie
  6. Is ford doing anything about this ? I know its not there fault cars are being stolen but, Are major car manufacturers jointly talking about the keyless system ? Could the keyless system be phased out because of this ? Jamie
  7. pokes tongue out at you hehehe Jokingly of course Jamie
  8. cars are being stolen in the village where i live (Chilswickham Worcestershire) Last week a New 4 series BMW was stolen for example Not happy. Worried Worrying Is there anything cheap i can do to prevent my car from being code hacked Jamie
  9. You are most welcome :-) Reason i say leave touchscreen cal/settings is i got in a flap one day when i coudnt exit the touchscreen calibration etc i woudnt want you to be stuck in that mode. :-) Jamie
  10. Hi Press next track and eject and the same time until a menu pops up :-) Dont touch the "Touch screen calibration menu or anything to do with the touch screen !!!" Jamie
  11. glad i have been of help. There is another way of updating software but its not authorised and may "Brick" your car (Brick ie like a locked out or inoperative phone) Jamie
  12. Hi Shane I cant answer "Your" question but "Ford" will not update it unless There is an issue or Fault that requires the software to be updated. I can say however that usually a software update may give your car better fuel consumption, perhaps iron out some flat spots, but dont expect wonders, Jamie
  13. The part number "HM5T-19H449-FA" that is quoted on the Ebay Listing Throws up the F5 map on so is this Genuine ??? Surely a new version would have a new part number ? Or am i missing something ?? Jamie
