  1. ! Guide ! Mk7 Fiesta Bulb Change

Hey FOC About time I pulled my weight around here, So I thought Id make an English guide of how to upgrade/replace the MK7 Fiesta bulbs. Covered in this guide: # MK7 bulb types # How to remove the MK7 Headlight (Including pictures of the dreaded retaining Clip MWHAHAHAHAHAHAH ... pfft ) # How to Change over the MK7's sidelight, dipped beam & Indicator bulbs # How to Safely replace the MK7 Headlight back into the mounting MK7 Bulb Types Here is a brief list of the Bulbs for the MK7 Fiesta, these are also noted in your handbook. Front Lights: Fullbeam - H1 Dipped beam - H7 Sidelights - W5W Front Fogs - H11 Front indicators - PY21W Side (wing mirror) indicators - WY5W Interior lights: Interior light - W6W Reading lights - W5W Footwell lights - W5W Rear indicators - PY21W Brake & tail light's - P21/5W Rear fog light - P21W Reversing lights - W16W Number plate lights - W5W[/b] ------------------------------ Removing The Headlight: To Replace ANY bulbs in the headlight, the headlight itself must first be removed. The Headlight is fixed to the car by 2 bolts, 1 plastic rivet & 1 clip at the bottom (More on this later) One bolt at the top of the headlight - One bolt & a Rivet at the bottom of the headlight - The bolts simple unscrew, store the washer and bolt some where safe. The rivet comes in two parts, both simple pop out and do not require any other motion. There is a small gap that allows you to get your finger nail or screw driver underneath the first part and pull it out. After the first is removed, the bottom part pops out also Before removing the headlight, you need to remove the electrical connector (The purple plug) The best method to remove this, is to prize a flat head screw driver in and underneath the clip & tilt. You will hear a small click & with the screwdriver still in place the connector can be removed. DO NOT pull the connector from the wires, the connector should come out fairly easily with the screw driver in place. I removed mine with thumb and fingers of my left hand ... very little struggle at all. The Headlight is anchored in with little tabs on the headlight itself So the best method to remove the headlight is to tilt the headlight slightly away from the engine bay and then pull the headlight up and towards the windscreen. Place one hand underneath the headlight nearest the bottom (grill) and another underneath the top section where the first bolt was removed. Keep reading if you need more help.
  2. Sick looking Fiesta ... not in a good way. Seriously give some warning before showing of disgusting cars like that! I'm trying to eat here!
  3. Hi I've only today found the fix for the all the problems caused by I0S5. So I've finally got my bluetooth back on my MK7 Fez. However when reading through the Apple forums regarding the ford update, one member had the same problem as you. The dealer can update this to restore it. So It's a simple fix, just to put your mind at ease :D
  4. Sorry I didn't cover the main beam bulb or other lights. However I had a lovely moped driver use the front of my Fiesta as a parking bay recently, resulting in a very compacted front end. I also lost both headlights, so I may revisit this guide in the near future. Also i've had a few people request they link / copy paste this guide for other forums. While I really appreciate the PM's telling or requesting the use of the guide. It's not needed use this guide whenever and however you see fit. I'll try and get rid of the stupid Username tags in the photo's that photo bucket added. Cheers
  5. Hey FOC Just got myself a new laptop since my last one exploded ... No exaggeration. However the mini explosion also took along with it the MP3 converting program. I was after a few suggestion on what you guys use to convert songs into MP3 for use with the Fiesta USB drive? Cheers
  6. I thought it was down to the chemicals used to create the colour which ment that standard retailer couldn't create it. Its Ford's Very on Colour they cooked up in the lab That's the impression I was given
  7. 1. Electric folding mirrors It's a convenience feature really, although it is cool to watch the mirrors fold away when you lock it. Protection wise it's not going to do alot. If a car Hits your mirrors even when folded in, He's going to be damn close! More of a "getting the car into the garage" & "My car can hear you" button 2. Parking sensors I find these really useful and have become lazy when it comes to parking, so its personal preference really. But I know they can be added fairly cheaply to existing fords for a more reasonable amount than you imagine. 3. Rain sensors Look at your left arm, just above the wrist ... A Hand yea? Now look at your Right arm ... another Hand! Well, looks like we've solved that problem 4. Heated windscreen Out of the 5 you listed, this would be my TOP priority. It's extremely useful to start the car on a cold or icy day and just push the heated screen button. Mine works incredibly fast. during that cold period we had during the start of the year, I'd get in the car push the button and the sheet of THICK ice over the windscreen would be gone in 10 minutes. No extra help required from Mr De-icer. 5. Cruise control I want! But its not an option on Zetec S models at all :( Would go along way to help MPG on long Motorway journeys. But I've managed fine without it, Averaging 40mpg on the trip computer and in real life scenario Travelled from Cornwall to Cardiff (200+ Miles) on just over half a tank. Very comfortable car for Long trips :) Hope this helps you a tiny tiny tiny little bit :D
  8. 17's I Brought the gorgeous street pack 17's alloys ... it came with this strange little car attached to them In my opinion the 17's looks amazing, it was one of the reasons I loved the Fiesta ZS
  9. I'll take some night photos of my Footwell lights as soon As I get a chance mate
  10. Yep Footwell lighting bulbs are the same as Front Sidelights
  11. That'll be the new Grill on the Facelift fiesta
  12. 48 votes all No Think you have an answer :)
  13. After the ST ... Maybe B) Just have to increase my research into money tree growth and !Removed! currency conversion
  14. Your probably right, It was just an assumption as the 1.6 titanium I test drove took longer in the lower gear shifts compared to the short shifts in my ZS :)
  15. I prefer keepings my cars Identity :) But its all done to personal preference
