  1. Mk 5 Ghia Central Locking

Thanks guys, does anyone know how to re-program the remote when i get one, i had a Scorpio once and to re-program that remote you pressed the buttons whilst sitting in the drivers seat in a set sequence and this re-set the remote, does the fiesta have the same system, if so I can get it from the scorpio owners club? I have been told you cannot re-program the "buttons on key" remote you can only re-program the seperate remote fob(like a Rover), is this right? Thanks again Dave
  2. Mk 5 Ghia Central Locking

Hi, just bought a 51 plate Mk5 Fiesta 1.25 Ghia. I thought it had remote central locking but I got no fob with it, does it have this and I just need a new fob, or did the car not have this. If it does where can i get a replacement fob without paying Fords prices? Cheers Dave
  3. MK II seat removal

I recently changed the entire interior on my mk2 for a leather one froma ghia x. The Torx bolts mentioned in the other reply are correct, but if you are changing the seat for one from a higher model, you will have to be careful if they are fitted with electronics which your model doesnt have, the loom isnt there for it, I had to take my drivers seat apart and botch the seat pad and backrest to fit my existing frame which meant i had to remove the backrest motor and adjust it manually with a screw driver, but what the hey, it works and looks a lot better than the mouldy things that were in there when i got the car. Good look with the change, it wont take you long once you have got the correct torx driver, i had to order one specially, but took about 15 minutes un-bolting and re-bolting once i had changed all the bits. 5. MONDY TD FOR SALE

Hi guys, I am selling my P reg Mondy Diesel in order to get an Escort Diesel or 1.4 estate. Its a P reg and is taxed till end of Feb, MOT'd till September 09. Its a none metallic Purple colour and has had a full Ghia X leather interior fitted and GLX alloys. It has electric front windows, Central locking, Heated front and rear screens (Front is brand new), New battery yesterday, new centre exhaust, new ghia wood effect dash fascia and new glow plugs last week. Only thing it needs is a replacement EGR valve, and the speedo sorting which stopped working about a week ago, fuel gauge went with it, but still works when it wants to!! I am disabled and cannot afford to get it done but runs fine anyway, has ford 6000 cd player in it with code. I am looking for about £500 for it. Dont have any history for it as it was a loan car for my local garage before I bought it off them. I am in the North Staffs Area, email me at info@staffs-biofuel.co.uk if you would like to view. Would be willing to do a straight swap for a 4 door 1.4 Fiesta, 1.4 Escort estate (must have leccy windows and c/l etc or diesel escort estate with good spec, age irrelevant but good MOT etc.
  6. mondeo td ghia x

  7. mondeo td ghia x

Hi, No its not excessive really, I know of Taxi's in my area that have done more than 300,000 miles on the original engine. One thing though is for sure the history needs to be bang on the money and done when required, not when the owner could be bothered!! Take it for a drive and check that the turbo gives a noticeable PULL when it comes in and check when things like the MAF sensor where changed, they are not expensive but if it has been serviced well, it will have been changed because of the mileage. If you do not buy it for some reason, let me know, I am in the market for a newer car, what mark is it? All the best anyway. Dave
  8. Heater Box

So its in the right hand side (drivers) foot well and on the left of the heater box above the pedals somewhere, am I right? Thanks very much for your help, I'll let ya know how I get on Cheers Dave
  9. Heater Box

Can anyone tell me where the heater box is located on the Mk2 diesel. 1997 P reg. I have been told it might be behind the glove box, is this correct. I cannot get hot air to come out of the blowers, I have topped up the coolant with the heater on full hot and the resevoir bottle lid off and on the fastewst blower setting but it has made no difference. I took the dash control module out and the splines were knackered on the rear of the temp knob, so I set it to hot by hand as the winter is coming, but the cable was very hard to push in by hand, so I need to get to the other end on the cable and turn that to hot by hand, hense the question, where is the heater box? Cheers Guys Dave
  10. HEATER MATRIX

Hi Guys, can anyone tell me where the heater matrix is on a 97 mk2 td? I have been told it is located behind the glove box inside the car, is this correct? My heater doesn't get hot and the heater temp knob doesn't do anything, I took the dash to bits and the weird cog mechanism behind the temp knob was a bit worse for where, so I would like to set it manually to be 3/4 hot permanently throughout the winter but I could not trace the cable back to the matrix. Does anyone have an egr valve from an Endura DE motor I can have? Cheers Dave
  11. No hot air coming from heater

No, I had the heater panel off and there is a wierd cog that turns at an angle to the cable end and the wire that pushes through the bulk head was bent, so I bent it straight and it made no difference. I take it the heater matrix is under the windscreen scuttle and will have to be stripped to gain access to the other end of the wire, to see why the heater isnt going hot. Dave
  12. Lack of "GO" from my 1.8TD Endura DE

Thanks for that, will keep you posted but I am disabled so will have to wait for a dry warmish day before I can look at it. Cheers Guys Dave
  13. Lack of "GO" from my 1.8TD Endura DE

Thanks for that but what does EGR stand for in case I have to go "Scrappy Bashing" again? Dave
  14. No hot air coming from heater
