  1. Ford is recalling about 391,000 Ranger pickup trucks because the driver's airbag inflators can explode with too much force and cause injuries. The recall covers trucks from the 2004 through 2006 model years in the U.S. and Canada. So UK Rangers seem OK (for now). Andrew
  2. Fifth Gear

I hope so although I am considered a new pick up soon just not sure it will be a Ford after this issue.
  3. Fifth Gear

Well she is back plus new gear box came to £1500 all in. Sad that a truck with such low millage eneded up need a new gear box :o Andrew
  4. Fifth Gear

Not good news total rebuild required (£1000) not including the labour to remove and refit the gearbox. Andrew
  5. Fifth Gear

My 04 plate 2.5 turbo Ranger will not stay in fifth gear just pop straight out Ok in all the other gears. No noise or vibration. Any one had this problem? Andrew
  6. Oil Change

    I use Magnatec 5W-30 A1
  7. Cam Belt

Hi a first post from me. I have a 2004 Ford ranger 2.5TD a couple of questions. 1. Is the engine a non interference type? 2. I believe the cam belt change is 60,000 miles. Andrew
