  1. Thanks for the info, any chance you can tell me where I access that loom from? I'd like to check it out since my pump is still occasionally misbehaving! Also do you have the part number? Thanks
  2. I am having the same problem with my 2008, and it's not the first time... Happened about six months ago, and now it's happened again, and the garage is saying I only had a three month warranty! I can tell you that the filter is built in to the pump, at least on my 2.3 (I assume the 2.0 will be the same). I have also been told that running with the tank almost empty can cause this to happen, since it is the fuel in the tank that keeps the pump from overheating. This time I'd like to try replacing it myself, with a second-hand part, so if you managed to figure out how to access the pump, any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks
  3. I've established that the compressor is going to need replacing. The car is a 2004 1.4 Duratec with the semi auto gearbox, can anyone tell me if the following part will fit?: Cheers!
  4. the blower fan works fine, and I can hear the click of the compressor engaging when I press the A/C button, and another click of it disengaging when I press it again. When I rev to about 2500 rpm or more, it blows cold air (but not as cold as it used to be), otherwise it's just as if I have the A/C off and the fan on.
  5. Hi, I recently bought a second hand 2004 MK5. The aircon was working fine till a couple of days ago, and now it only works at high revs. I looked into it and found a suggestion to clean the cabin filter. I checked and the filter is missing, I'm guessing removed by the previous owner or the (unscrupulous) dealer maybe to get rid of a smokey smell? Anyway, does anyone have any idea what I will now have to do to get the aircon working again? I assume the lack of filter has caused a build up of dirt somewhere but how can I clean it out? Cheers!
