  1. Window Tinting Front Windows.

Ok thanks gent. I did eventually find the DVLA's law on this, but it struck me as being a little "grey area". Probably just get the back done for now. Don't want to give the old bill or any insurance company a reason to weassel out of anything in the event of an accident.
  2. Afternoon all. Quick question. I'm looking to get me window tinted and will be getting the rear 3 qtrs done, but was also thinking of doing the front windows. Now apparently it has become illegal to tint the front windows, yet I've a number of recent plate cars with the fronts tinted. Has anyone got there front windows tinted? Do you ever have any problem with the "law"?? I'm not talking about going silly, it will be the lightest tint they do on the front.
  3. Hi all. I'm getting the itch to change my standard focus st alloys for something after market and a little more different to the norm. Can anyone with after market alloys on the mark 2 focus show me your examples please? I'm thinking of some Black ch style alloys (as seen on eBay), possibly gold or even white. Thought about rs alloys in black, but not sure if they will look beefy enough on my st. I'm keen on designs thAt have a concave look to them. I going to tint the windows and want something agrees ice looking. Thoughts on these???
  4. New Ford Focus Owner And Need Help.

    Where's your attachment??
  5. Aaarrrrgggghhhh

Hi. Must be something in the air with the c-max!!! Out of interest did a new can bus lead solve the problem? The wife's car has started to play up? The dash is intermittently lighting up some or all of the dash board warning lights on and the engine management light. They then will at any given time decide to work again. This can happen several times in one journey or all day or not at all. When the dash goes, the indicators don't indicate (flash or tick) inside the car but are working fine externally as are lights etc.The car runs and drives fine and external functions I.e. Lights etc all appear to work fine. Had the problem before, but was diagnosed as the instrument cluster shortly after buying the car a few years ago. The instrument cluster was replaced then and solved the problem, until now! Hoping its a simple fix. I can''the believe the cluster would have gone again in 3 years. Matt
  6. Disconnected Wire??

Probably a standard wiring loom that is for a extra you car was not fitted with. I.e. Heated seats perhaps?
  7. Best Tyres ?

Look at cam skill.co.uk they do tyres. Get the delivered and then fitted. Best tyres in my experience for sensible money are a ones. Although due to change tyres soon and I'll be checking out univocal rain sport 3 as they have the top rating for the wet. Better than Avon. Flakes are good in the dry. Average generally a bit below average in the wet though
  8. Focus St Or Mondeo St????

Not owned a mondo st only a focus st, but I'd say focus st. Mondo is nice but starting to date a little. Focus st was a Newer design and chassis is probably better. Same engine, again probably slightly more refined than when in the mondo st. Mondo would only win on price and if you needed space for kids in my opinion
  9. Well finally got round to removing and switching the headlights. Both headlights adjuster motors worked when plugged into the right hand side. Both then worked in the left and both worked when in the reverse side of the head lights intended location. So long story short, it appears that taking the Headlights out and plugging them back in again has reset them and both are now auto adjusting together again. Another wonderful ford electrical issue it seems. Thankful it appears to have been a simple fix.
  10. Spend My Money For Me...

Window tints if you don't already have them.
  11. Oh great. :-( "One way to check if it's lamp specific would be to remove the lamps and plug the suspect one into the wiring from the other side, the pin-outs look identical. If the suspect lamp works ok in the other side then maybe you've got a wiring problem instead" Not a bad idea!! Will give that a bash when a get a mo. Only bugger is I'll have to try and do it in the dark.
  12. Thinking Of Getting An St

Bit biased. But I do love the st. Effortless power and great handling. Oh and if you let the ponies of the leash......... (",) Mpg is not the greatest, but I've personally found I get around 25mpg around town and 30 -35 on steady motorway runs (70-80). What I would recommend is don't do cheap on oil. Get good quality fully synthetic branded oil. Your mpg will go up as a result. Also make sure it's changed regularly and generally clean, I.e. Golden not black!! Not so keen on turbo lag or the intrusive esp which brakes for you on roundabouts! Finally, buy one off someone who is passionate about cars, your more likely to get one with a engine that's been treated right, than the usual, "we'll it's got a full service history's........" But I've never looked under the bonnet.

  14. Hi all any help appreciated here. I have a 2007 2.5 st2 with self levelling xeons. When I turn my lights on the passenger one attempts to do something, but doesn't really move. The drives side visible moves the light down and up again as it calibrates. Before levelling off where I expect it to. Why would the left one not adjust?? Is it likely to be a fuse? 143? Or something more sinister. I've read some times they need recalibrating by the main dealer if the battery's or lights been disconnected and it's lost its programming, but I'd expect both not to work if that was the case. Suggestions? Matt
