  1. Is the 2008 1.8tdci the same engine as the 2007 model....
  2. All replys much appreciated fella's. Got a filter last night and will fit over the weekend with John's "how to". Thanks
  3. Would needing a fuel filter change cost you when it comes to MPG, how often should I be changing it on a 2009 1.8tdci.
  4. Guys I have a 2009 Focus 1.8tdci, just wondering how often I should be changing the fuel filter. Also how big a job is it to do myself, I service the car myslef but have never changed a fuel filter. Any help would be much appreciated.
  5. Thanks for getting back to me Tommy, the only thing that is putting me of is somebody mentioned to me before about cleaning the injectors. Is this something that needs to be done and if so is it a bit job. Thanks again for the reply.
  6. Just wondered, I have a 08 mk2 focus 1.8tdci. If the service manual says 100k for a timing belt change, what happens if it goes at 60k. Is the manufacturer liable.
  7. I have a 2008 focus 1.8tdci. I have always serviced my own cars but have never owned a diesel before. I'm due my 40k service and wondered is it as straight forward as the petrols or does the diesel need specific checks that can't be done at home. The prices places charge for a service is nuts....
  8. Thanks for that, I guess the 15amp supply will from the battery. I will need to a wire through the car, do is the best way to do this. Appreciate the help.......

Any help would be greatly appreciated, going to give it a go at the weekend. Instructions I got with kit assume a good deal of elecrical knowledge. Thanks
