Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Fiesta Price Hike

Don't forget the exchange rate. Most Ford cars for our market are built in mainland Europe and imported / paid for in Euro. The pound has weakened against the Euro which will cause a price rise in anything we import.
  2. Mk8 Delivery Delays?

ST Line X has the following Features additional to ST-Line LED Night Signature to rear lights Auto High Beam Rain sensing wipers Traffic Sign Recognition and Driver Alert Power-foldable door mirrors with puddle lights Rear privacy glass Partial leather sports style front seats Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) Cruise Control Ford SYNC 3 Navigation with 8" Touchscreen Centre console with armrest, openable stowage and 12 V power point Auto-dimming rear-view mirror
  3. Help needed tuning a fiesta ecoboost to Stage 2/3

Cheaper / easier to sell it and buy an ST :-)
  4. Ford Fiesta Ecoboost Titanium 5dr

The Ecoboost coolant failures are mainly Focus related due to a dodgy hose. The same problem is not evident in Fiesta as it has a different coolant system layout.
  5. Interior Box not sticking

Its the GPS aerial. Ford SYNC with Emergency Assistance An important and potentially life-saving part of Ford SYNC is Emergency Assistance‡. In the unlikely event of an accident, where the airbag is deployed or the fuel-pump deactivated, the technology can use a Bluetooth®-paired and connected mobile phone to automatically make a direct call to the Emergency Services for you. You can choose to stop the call, or talk to those services if you need to. Crucially, the system will supply vital information, such as your GPS coordinates, even if you are unconscious.
  6. engine/electrical problem

    Coil pack?
  7. 1.0 ecoboost owners - do you obey The Arrow?

No - ignore it completely. I still average around 48 MPG in a Titanium 125 PS.
  8. Next generation Fiesta

The new Fiesta price list can be found on this page Dismiss the 'request test drive' using top right cross then click 'Price Lists' and select 'All New Fiesta'
  9. Next generation Fiesta

Looking at the published price list I think I will go for the ST Line X 3 door 140 with spare wheel, camera and reverse sensors, Red body / Black roof + matching ST Line X red pack interior, Comfort pack, Driver assistance pack. I would never consider a car without a spare so the B&O is out, as is the roof.
  10. I see the Mk 8 details and config. are going live
  11. I take a size 12 and don't find the pedals too much of a problem. Guess I have driven far worse cars over the years :-)
  12. Alarm armed indicator & hello

There is no alarm armed light on later models. The flashing red light on older models has been deleted and the start / stop engine indicator (where fitted) is in its place.
  13. Folding Mirrors - annoyance

They do. The switchgear is redesigned. You simply push the down button with the selector switch in the middle (neutral position)
  14. Wiper blade size for MK7.5?

Correct size for Mk 7.5 is 16" passenger. The design was modified slightly (basically a bent arm) to allow a bigger sweep of the passenger side of windscreen.
  15. Mk7 all 3 rear lights are out

I would start with the bulbs. Change one and see if it works.
