  1. Happy Birthday shaddow!

  2. Yes easy enough to do. I did mine last week, using wynns egr cleaner, which i got off e-bay. The instructions that i got from the supplier was as follows. Warm up engine, and switch off Remove pipe from the air-box to the egr valve Re-start engine, and set rpm to 2000. ( this i did by using my mate on the throttle ) Spray product into egr port in no more than two second intervals WARNING, if engine revs increase, or deisel knocking occurs, whilst spraying, set engine revs to idle Continue till all product has been used Let engine tick over for two minutes, then switch off Replace hose etc Re-start engine, and rev 5-10 times, or drive for 5-10 kilometers DO NOT EXEED 3000rpm, whilst doing this. As i say i did this to mine last week, and did it with no problem. Blew some crap out though lol
  3. Yes Sounds like a good idea. Unfortunatley hasnt sorted my problem, but one more thing i can rule out. Drove it as i said after the clean, and it was perfect. Went out tonite and slowed down to turn left after a couple of miles, turned left and went to accelerate, and it happened again. Real sluggish, seems like the turbo doesnt kick in. Stopped, switched off, and immediatley started it back up, and drove home normaly. Cant get me head round it. Looks like taking it to ford for a diagnostic. Never mind AAAGH.
  4. Yippeee. Just done mine, and took it for a good spin. Sounds like a new un, and runs well. No issues at all with doing it. Exept for upsetting the neibough of the R.B.L. club, as i did it on there car park. Bloke came round and started moaning about the noise, as he was sitting in his back garden lol. Sent him off with a flea in his ear. By the time he had finished going off on one i had done it, only took ten minutes to complete. Bet he was well pleased when the plume of black smoke went over his garden, but i cant control the breeze lmao. Hopefully this has cured my problem. Worth doing it 10/10.
  5. Well done Tazz. More than pleased my info helped you. Will definatley do mine tomorrow if weather permits. Hope mine goes as well as yours, sounds like its worth doing anyway. If it does,nt fix my problem at least i know it,s not done any harm. Will keep you posted tomorrow.
  6. Hopefully doing mine tomorrow. Will also let you know how i get on
  7. Ok just looked at the instructions on the advert on E-bay. They are as follows. Start engine, and run till warm Set engine to run at 2000 rpm Spray in short intervals IMPORTANT, if revs increase whilst spraying, reduce revs to idle Rpm, and diesel knocking can increase during pulverisation After each pulverisation, wait for revs to settle Continue till all the 200mlare consumed Let the engine run at idle for a few minutes Turn off engine Re-attach hose Re-start engine After this idling period accelerate the engine 5 to 10 times, or drive for 5 to 10 km DO NOT EXEED 3000 RPM. Hope this helps
  8. Yes i think its a two man job. If you look at the E-bay link i sent you above, there are some instructions on there. Will look on here tomorrow night to see how you get on. Mine came today, but will have a go at it on saturday weather permitting. Good luck!
  9. Hi Tazz786. No problem mate I.E. link on e-bay. Wynns egr3 air inlet/intake egr valve cleaner and DP3. Item No 320659572015. Seller Jam100673
  10. Hi Trying this out for myself. I too have a 1.8 tdci. Tried everywhere near to me to get Wynns egr cleaner, but ordered some yesterday off E-bay. Got the cleaner, plus some fuel additive for £11.95 plus postage. Hope it works for you, as well as me. Will let you know how i get on. Good luck
  11. Hi just read this post. and i had the same problem with mine the other week. Took it to my local garage and the mech said it was definatley the clutch master cylinder leaking when he saw the stain on my rubber mat. Quoted me £85.00 for the part and £50.00 to fit it. Got my mate to do it for me, took 2.5 hrs of !Removed! fiddling in the foot well, and plenty of cussing. Personally think its worth the £50.00 to get the garage to do it, unless you are a contortionist. Not too bad for me, i only made the tea lol
  12. Thanx mate, and thanx a million for the video. Will definately have a go at that, but not on my drive lol. Will let you know how i get on.
  13. Thanx leemaxd. Will try the cleaner first i think. As i,m 54yrs old and try not to touch the engine unless i have to. ( they a lot more complicated than they were in my day lol) if that does not work then i may try to take it off and clean it, thats if i can find it? Any idea where its located?. And how to clean it Plz.
  14. Hi Everyone, can anyone help. My 1.8 tdci Mk1.5 occasionaly seems to fire on three cylinders when pulling away. This may happen first thing or after driving a few miles. Runs ok, then when pulling away from a standing start it has no power, but no lights come on the dash. If i switch it off and re-start it, it goes back to normal. Tried a new diesel, and air filter but to no avail. Been told now it may be the accellerator potentiometer/ sensor. But as ive only had it for three months, and already spent out for a new exhaust pipe and clutch master cylinder, i dont want to spend much more on it if i dont need to. So any advice would be most welcome. Any advice anyone?
  15. Sounds like good advise Will phone them tomorrow and see what they say. They said when i enquired about my leaking clutch master valve, that it was only covered for main components though. But will try. Thanx for reply.
