  1. 2014 Fiesta Zetec 1.25 Issues

You can email Ford Customer Care. You'll then get a complaint reference number and the complaint is taken more seriously. I have a long running complaint (December 22nd 2014) which still hasn't been resolved. It's been into dealerships 4 times up to now and I'm no further forward. I was told it was normal and that they'd put a computer on it which said so. I then made a video of the problem and the head mechanic had my car for a week (he used it as his own car) after that he agreed he could see the fault but if the computer says there isn't a fault he can't go against that. Then I took it to another dealer who knew what the fault was and replaced a part, but the car is still the same. They have now told Ford Customer Care that they've fixed my car because they've replaced the part, so Ford Customer Care have said that they are sorry that the problem has returned! The last they said was that they have to stand by what the dealership says (that it's fixed) but I can take it back or take it to another dealer and they will follow it up. Ford customer Care have helped in the sense that i can get to speak to the head person and that they'll get the car booked in quickly etc and when you speak to the dealership they seem to panic a bit more. At the end of the day all Ford dealers are franchises so Customer Care are limited to what they can do. I am trying for an exchange (but without losing any money) I am waiting for the Sales Manager to ring me. Sent from my iPad using Ford OC

Have you had the clutch release bearing checked out? My father reckons that's what the problem is. Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
  3. At least there's someone who knows there is a problem and I'm not going mad. My trips to work and back are all through the town, so I'll have to do the journeys in 2nd gear to get the car to warm up! I wish this was on Watchdog like the Fiat 500 that can't go up hills. Is there another thread where people are complaining about this? My dad is due to change his Mondeo in September (has a Titanium Turbo Diesel at the moment) he was going to get the petrol version this time around but with what's happened with me, he's not so sure now Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  4. I've taken it to 2 dealers so far. They both say there's no fault Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
  5. All the info on the internet says that too, but mine took about 1/2 HR- 3/4 HR in the winter and up until a few weeks ago. Now the weather has warmed up a bit it takes about 10 minutes. The garages have said they have put their computer on and there's no fault. I've got Ford Customer Care involved who say they've got to stand by what the garage say. They've said I can take it back for them to look at again, but as its now being looked at 4 times, I can't see how a fifth would be any different. One mechanic said it will take longer to warm up because it's a smaller engine. Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
  6. I definitely wouldn't have another Ecoboost. Mine doesn't warm up unless the outside temperature is more than 12deg C. I thought I was going to end up with frostbite a few months ago. Had it beck to Ford 4 times, 2 different dealers and it's still no different. Also the Ambient temp gauge says what it likes. 5 months down the line I'm still no further with it. 7. Ipod Nano Sudden Problem Please Help!

Hi Bez, after this post, it packed up completely. The Bluetooth didn't work on my phone and the Bluetooth commands for "climate" & "radio" etc didn't work either. I took it to a Ford dealer who replaced the Bluetooth unit, and everything was fine after that. Just a note though. Only when the unit had completely packed up could my Ford dealer find the fault. Whilst I had the intermittent fault with the iPod, they couldn't find anything wrong. Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
  8. Hmmm. My Fiesta before this one (2011 as well 61 reg), didn't do it? Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
  9. Hi, I hope someone can help as I'm tearing my hair out now. I have a 2014 Titanium. When I start the car from cold everything is fine, but after I've driven the car and parked it (switching engine off) that's when the problem starts. When I return to the car (after the car has been parked 1/2hr - 1hr) I switch the engine on and the outside temperature is reading 5 or 6 degrees higher than it is. When I start the car moving, the temperature gauge rapidly starts going down over the space of about 1 - 2 minutes. After about 6 or 7 minutes it seems to read right. This is my 14th Fiesta and this is the only one that has done this. The Ford dealer say they've changed the sensor but it's still doing the same thing? Can anyone explain? Has anyone else got a 14 plate Fiesta where this happens? Have they changed the location of the sensor in this model (bigger grill version)? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  10. I might do that, I'll be speaking to them tomorrow, I'm praying for cold weather (I don't think I've ever done that before) Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  11. Would this also explain how it's reading the external temperature wrong? A ford dealer has looked at it and said they've put their computer on it but can't find a fault? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  12. Ah right, back to square one then :( Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  13. I've been trying to google to see if anyone else has the same problem. I couldn't, but I seen something about Active Grille Shutters. I don't know if my fiesta has them its the Titanium model, if that makes a difference. I can't look at my car as the garage has it. I'm just wondering if it does have the shutters if that could be anything to do with it? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  14. No the fan isn't running??? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  15. It's not overheating. Yesterday the outside temperature was 15 degrees C. When I drove my car it was fine. It heated up like it should, the temperature gauge read normal, and it was giving the correct outside temperature as well. When I returned to the car after it had been parked, the temperature was correct as well. I only seem to get the problem in the cold weather Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
