hi we have a 52 plate mondeo diesel we got last year we have had car 18 month we had an injector go ford charged us £375 to do the job in last oct all was fine till last week it started cutting out and the engine died on us it would start again but not everytime we have took it to local garage who put it on a diagnostic test they sent it to a diesel specilist in bury the fault was thought to be 1 the pump 2 the cam sensor but its neither its the regulator /solenoid on the pump which is being repaired has anyone had any trouble like this we have heard some horror storys about the mondeo ours was registered in nov 2002 i have heard there were some bad fuel pumps does anyone know if ours would be in that batch we heard they were changed after march 02 we are getting really worried as we are still paying on the car and cant afford high bills as well can anyone throw any light on this many thanks from margaret :( we have paid £800 up to now
