  3. Hi I reset the ECU counter by the fuel filler cap as in the Haynes manual but you can only use it if MIL OR PCL light is not on saying empty or low fluid. It did take me 3 goes to get it to reset in all about 30 mins to do it all. I think it is on here how to do it.
  4. I went with the long pipe so now reset all done and for £39.99 and not the £164.00 ford said.
  5. Hi can any one tell me which pipe is the filler pipe and which 1 is the overflow pipe on the DPF additve tank on a focus 08 as it is not that clear in the Haynes manual, so I looked it up on net and it say the long pipe is the filler and short 1 the overflow but in the manual the pic looks like the short pipe is the filler so before i start i would like to know for sure.
  6. Hi just fitted fitting heiko wind deflectors on my focus Mk2.5 they look good and were ok to fit. if any one as A FORD FOCUS MK1 MK I SALOON 1998-2004 i've got a set of HEKO WIND DEFLECTORS TINTED 4pcs set for sale. pick up only so would have to be round the Northwich in Cheshire area they are £25 I made a mistake when ordering them.
  7. Hi my focus MK2.5 1.6 TDI was running rough on tick over. just had it serviced so all new parts on it, but running rough you could see the revs going up and down did not sound to well, I fill up at sainsburys and have done for a long time, but last fill up I used BP just normal Diesel, and now no rough tick over revs are steady & sounds a lot better, so now will be using BP stations to fill up from now on.
  8. They just pushed in but had to use pliers to turn the holder back in place. I have a 58 focus mk 2.5 1.6TDI

  10. Hi bit off topic but my focus MK2.5 1.6 TDI was running rough on tick over. just had it serviced so all new parts on it, but running rough you could see the revs going up and down did not sound to well, I fill up at sainsburys and have done for a long time, but last fill up I used BP just normal Diesel, and now no rough tick over revs are steady so now will be using BP stations to fill up from now on. so it may be the fuel were you fill up if you use the same one all the time. just a thought.

  12. Hi do not know if this will help you, but last weekend i replace my drivers door lock. i put the steel inner door panel on and tryed the locks and it work ok, all doors locked with the window down i pulled the cable on the inner door handle to try the dead lock all ok. but when i put the other door panel on and the inner door handle, doors would not lock it locked and opened right away so i took the inner door handle off and push the cable back in by hand all doors lock & dead locks work so i and sparyed WD40 down the cable then put the handle back on and now working ok. so take off inner door handle and push the cable back by hand to see if the cable is sticking and not returning hope this helps you.

  14. Hi all a few weeks ago my courtesy light would not work so try to free it with WD spray and some others but with know joy. and has the switch is a microswitch incorporated into the door lock and are not available separatey. It was off to ebay and got a lock assembly for £26. so i set about fitting it this weekend which is a bigger job then i first thought as you have to take the window glass out, sorry i have not got pics of the door apart but when i looked in the bottom of the door i found this piece of plastic I could not see were it come from so put the second hand part on, so later on that night i took the broken one apart and this is where it goes the last pic is of the lock assembly as it come off ebay. so if your Courtesy light switches stop working and you find this in the bottom of the door now you know where it goes.
  15. Hi Andy I did this like you said and no joy, so when it warms up a bit will take the door a part, and have a look inside at the lock and switch. thanks any way for your reply.
