  1. Hey all, going away saturday so need to secure my sub/amp and don't have enough time to get the MDF cut and done etc so I was recommended some ratchet straps to hold them tightly in place. In the Mk4, does anyone know of any points inside the boot where I can attach these too? Can't find it in the Haynes manual..

  3. Will do... and he may have meant that although I swear he said pollen filter.. Its bugging me now I have to find out for sure!!
  4. LOL ok. He must be thinking it..
  5. I have a MK4 1.25 SI Zetec and it drinks oil, my GFs dad has a Mondeo and it doesn't need to be filled up for like 7-8 months. I will probs check my valves etc also, my friend recently cleaned out his pollen filter aswell he said and it has improved his ride.. slighty offtopic with that but just thought I would share.
  6. All you guys with your new cars, heres me with my MK4 '98 ^^ I live in Peterborough
  7. Hey guys and gals, Just curious if anyone has used the Fusion 12" RE-PK1120 kit? Thinking of getting it as my first bit of kit
  8. Found it, will have a proper look saturday though, gonna borrow mates jack and get it up.
  9. Ok will do cheers, although just looked in my Haynes manual, thefuse is in the auxilery fusebox, not the one inside of my car, is it hard to get at?
  10. Yeah there is, but they don't come on. Wondering if they aren't wired up properly.
  11. It is annoying, i'd like to know too ;p
  12. Just went to look at fogs, there looks to be something in there, like a bulb, but there is a white plastic thing over the end of it. Not got a jack yet so cant jack it up to get at it, but its bugging me lol. Unless tht clip is sposed to be there and it isnt wired properly i dunno
  13. Hey all, Basically I have two front fog lights, they are there physically, but on my dash where my lights are for turning on front/back, only the back turn on.. i'm going to take them out tomorrow cause there might not even be a bulb in there.. just wondering why though because the light comes on the dash, so it can't be the fuse.. also, does anyone know how difficult it is to get at the door lock cylinder? mines central locking and I can only really open from passenger side, as it's really stiff my side, any ideas?
  14. Hey, sometimes my car cuts out like others does, at junctions etc. I have seen that one thing is to clean the Idle Speed Control Valve.. In my haynes manual, it says for the 1.25Si Zetec petrol, there is a Idle Air Control Valve, and an Idle Speed Control Valve in the diesel ones.. Everyone is saying that the 1.25 zetec (1998) has the speed one.. there isn't a pic in the haynes manual of my engine that is labelled however.. Anyone have any idea? If it's the air valve, does it need cleaning still? and is it as easy as the speed control valve? I'm new here btw ;)
