  1. Thanks for you help fellas. I thought it was really odd that they'd put a panel on one side and not the other. Well that's Ford for you.
  2. I think I have that OK, it's a large piece of plastic with a cut out for the strut, I referred to it as the inner guard. I was wondering if there was another piece of trim which sat between it and the resevoir like the one for the passenger side I've marked in red.
  3. Took the inner guards to do some undersealing and noticed there's a panel on the passenger wing I've highlighted in red and none on the drivers side wing, am I missing a part.
  4. Am I right in thinking there are 2 types? BTW do you lot go for a pattern off the like of ebay or branded looks like about £20-30 of difference.
  5. Thanks a lot. Am I right in thinking there are only 2 types? BTW do you go for a pattern off the like of ebay or branded looks like about £20-30 of difference.
  6. AFAIK my car has the paper type fuel filter, anyone changed theirs and if so is it easy enough to do or best to get a fitter to do it. I read somewhere you need some sort of pump to bleed it, is this right?
  7. Is that the figure off the computer? If so have you tried doing it old style? - fill to the top and note mileage - drive - fill to the top - note gallons + mileage - divide mileage by gallons.
  8. It's got the rust at the back too which doesn't really annoy me that much or as much, I'm sure seen this on other cars!
  9. Thanks for the welcome Catch, the car only has 28k miles on it and was garaged, it's a very poor design with inadequate (zero) rust proofing, would have thought rolled the whole way round would have been a better idea. How did you repair yours? Thats the thread that lead me to the forum H3lly Had a Pug 106 Artscot now that was a proper galvinised car, only rust after 12 yrs and 140k on a pattern wing after about a year, the paint came off the pillar behind the door towards the end and it still didn't rust.
  10. Was washing the car yesterday and noticed a build up of tar around the front of the rear arch, on closer inspection I thought I could see bubbling on the rear arch, cleaned off the tar and yes it appears the paint is bubbling at the small lip on the front of the rear arch. If left unchecked it will no doubt work it's way round where it will be visible. I swung by a dealer and had a quick look at some other cars and out of the five or so I checked (same model and similar age) a couple were the same. I have seen the problems with the front arch and tail gate but it appears this problem might have been overlooked. Somewhat shocked and disappointed this is the case on a 5 year old car.
