  8. Have fitted the after market sensors from ebay, on focus, mondeo, mazda, and saab they cost £10 or little more from ebay and work a treat most cars have a plstic strip in the rear bumper which where i always situate the sensors, then if you look where your spare is you will see a rubber gromit somewhere under the carpet run the wires up back of bumper through gromit, take some boot interior trim off run wires along to lights a choc block to reversing wire supply, then position the speaker for sensor where desired all in all bout 20-30 min job and just as good as factory fitted, just be patient a measure along the strip and mark before drilling so there all neat and about 25-30cm apart
  9. Ok friends mondeo 2001 tddi airbag problems dash flash code 25 was showing.... so got the trusty formidable out and code reader come up with : B2294 Restraint System - Curtain Fault 5963 5956 * *fault as above found and cleared* Checked both rear airbag curtain connections and immediate wiring and wiring in the centre console airbag control unit, rechecked D.T.C found rear wiper jet did not work but has not done for a year, airbag fault has been a month, so checked water hose to rear jet the elbow section was not connected so maybe some water was present a year ago when last used but air bag fault only come up a month ago... code reader is saying passenger rear air bag curtain and water jet elbow is drivers side so checked both anyway.... *fault above still present cleared once more and reappeared instantly now baffeled am stuck so many people have said airbags that are non deployed dont go wrong...??? Any help please before some crooked garage looks at it as M.O.T time soon...
  10. trust me you can get your hand up there with a 10mm spanner or 10mm socket to undo the 2 bolts that hold the lock to the car, its tight but it can be done as i have succesfully done this only 2 months ago when it happened to mine, 1: Undersheild off 2: Make sure car is jacked up on axle stands (so you have room) 3: Reach up between radiator and engine block 4: Feel the 2 10mm nuts that hold lock on and remove the 2 nuts 5: Get out from under the car and you will need to tug the bonnet a little then hey presto bonnet undone... 6: Seperate bonnet catch fromk the lock removed and replace or fix....
  11. When engine running switch on rear heated screen and feel your mirrors you will feel them get warm/hot-ish...
  12. Heres some new powerfolding mirrors on ebay Item number: 300577861908
  13. So basically couple of lengths of wire, 1 relay, change the elctric window switch panel to one with a switch and hey presto... So its powered to the fuse i assume theres a fuse there for the mirrors but thats where tight ford stopped.... I managed to turn powerfold mirrors on a mondeo 3 into remote powerfold mirrors by adding a relay and some wires so should not be to hard then...
  14. Sure its not big intercooler airpipe i had one of these with a slight split in it and it gave me your symptoms 1: Lack of power 2: Whistling noise 3: Smoke when foot down It was not on a Focus but on the mondeo tdci, might be worth checking as its a cheap and easy fix if it is that. Good luck anyway
  15. There as about as handy as eating soup with a fork.... lol I try some other research cheers anyway
