  3. HI GUYS, I am attempting to find out how to update my sat nav system, i cant find how to update it i have contacted the ford dealers who have told me they dont know how to do it 1 has said that i need an upto date disc for the system another has told me that you can just do an update some how and that i dont need an updated disc, i have also found out that there are different disc aswell and they will only work on some systems so i need the right disc for the right system and again the dealers dont know what system tye i have have, how can i find out what touch screen system i have as it says nthing on the front? and does anyone know if it a disc thats needed for the update or can it just be updated help please. thanks
  4. thank you for the advice guys, i have managed to sort it after checking all the fuse's with no luck and the relays i decided that disconnecting the car battery may do it by resetting everything and guess what it worked, so again thank you for the advice but is sorted now and if anyone has this issue try disconnecting the battery before spending money at a dealers or sparkys. ( remember to sort out your radio code though )
  5. hi guys, i am looking for some help if you can please, i drove my ford mondeo titanium x the liverpool today from birmingham when i arrived i parked my car and pressed the button to shut the engine down, upon doing this the car made some fun noise's from the dash beeps and that so i pressed the engine button again and the car shut down as it should. now when igot back in my car 10 minutes later to drive back the entertainment system and my heating wont work at all. the entertainment system is the one that has everything built in and is touch screen so it controls my radio, cd, telephone, sat nav, and dispalys my heater settings although the heating system is turned on and up and down via the buttons below the entertainment system, nothing at all works now and i am hoping this will just be a fuse or ralay issue but i have no idea what fuse or relay to check can anyone help with this please thank you anthony
  6. 7. hi i could do with some help please, my car is just around the 55.000 mile mark and although it has not told me yet it needs a service i suspect that it is due so i would like to know if anyone can tell me if they know any good ( honest ) dealers in the birmingham area that i could get to do the service on my car. i also have another issue that you maybe able to help with i have not had my car long but i have noticed it is super heavy on petrol i know i am driving the 2.3 petrol but even so it still seems heavy. for example i puit £35 in the tank the other day and drove a 160 mile motorway trip and by the end of this i needed to refill, can anyone tell me if this is right or if i do have and issue and if i do what it could be please, thank for any help anthony
  8. HI as stef123 above says i would not really worry over the high miles as long as it a good and ( real ) service history these engines will run forever if well looked after, i was burnt once when buying a car with perfect service history only to find out a few weeks later that the history was fake and had been added by the garage.
  9. i would never buy from a dealer they are always over priced. if it help i have just brought a 2008 mondeo titanium X 40.000 miles with all the trimmings heated seats electric seats and i even got the touch screen sat nav ( £1800 extra ) and it only cost me £7000 from bca auctions. if you have the ready cash to hand and not looking at finance i would recommend buying a car from a big auction compnay that take the fleet cars like bca or manhiem auctions.
