  1. Sensor Location

Hiya I have an 02 Focus 1.6 Zetec and recently been told after I had a diagnostic that I need to replace my Cold Start Sensor/Switch but with endless googling I can find anything. Could someone please tell me where it is located on the car :P
  2. Tried a new coil pack and the MAF has been cleaned.
  3. I have a Focus 1.6 Auto 02 that on idle has always made a poping sound through the tube leading off from the MAF. I had the car looked and for possible air leaks the first thing I replaced was a breather pipe behing the inlet manifold. That didn't change anything so I have just been putting up with it also the car takes 5 - 6 sec to fire up and sometimes smells of fuel through the vents inside. Last month when I was out the car got really juddery and could bearly pull away and almost cutting out a call to the AA and it turned out to be a cracked spark plug The AA man also said it sounded like the inlet manifold was sucking in air on the right side. They got the car running but it was still very juddery. Two days later I had a family mechanic replace the inlet manifold gasket and did a set of new plugs and oil at the same time. After this the car still took 5 - 6 secs to start but it drove fine but still made the poping noise at idle. Once before I had the engine light on and had the code read it said it was the front 02 sensor took this out and cleaned it up no more light. Anyway a few days ago when driving I noticed juddering around 50Mph the next day when trying to pull away it sounds spluttery and then all of a sudden picked up but now this is all the time and juddery through out. I took the plugs out last night I don't know what they are ment to look like for month old plugs but heres some links. I cleaned them up and put them back in but its still the same could a fulty 02 sensor cause this? http://www.searingar...o.uk/Plug 1.jpg http://www.searingar...o.uk/Plug 2.jpg http://www.searingar...o.uk/Plug 3.jpg http://www.searingar...o.uk/Plug 4.jpg
  4. Missfire At Idle

I have a 02 Focus 1.6 Zetec The car has a little trouble starting but always gets there in the end when its sat at idle the engine sound like its making a poping noise and wobbles I have had to people look and it and both said it sounds like its the inlet manifold gasket would this cause this? I have replaced the breather pipe behind the inlet manifold already along with the spark plugs when I took the 4th plug out it was black and oily would the inlet gasket leaking cause this? Thanks in advance.
  5. Engine Question

Could anyone tell me what the wire going in to the engine between spark plug 2 and 3 does? mine looks like its breaking.
  6. Newbie here :P My Focus has had a rough idle for awhile now and I can't seem to solve it. So far I have replaced the spark plugs which made things smoother when driving and a hose behind the inlet manifold part no 1337254. we have checked for air leaks, took off the idle control valve which looks like new, cleaned the MAF. When starting the car it turns over for 5 -6 sec before starting but always starts and never stalls but then smells strong of petrol for about a minute or so then will idle around 1100rpm for awhile the drops to two lines below the 1k line. I had a family member plug it in on a snap-on diagnostic which said it was bank 1 Lambda sensor (can't remember the fault code) but then at the bottom of the screen it also says other problems could cause this fault code. Could it really be the lambda? ford quoted £197 for this sensor can I find it for less anywhere else? Thanks in advance. Also forgot to mention we have check all wires and connections.
