  1. New Clutch Judder

2005 Zetec, 1.6 petrol. Two months ago the slave cylinder leaked fluid onto the clutch so I had to have a new one and a new clutch fitted. Ever since there has been clutch judder. I've used the garage that fitted it for years with no problem. They say that they could take the clutch out to inspect it but, if it turns out to be the flywheel then I would be liable to pay. This is fair enough, but if the flywheel was damaged then wouldn't/shouldn't they have seen that when fitting the new clutch? Also, how likely is it that the flywheel would cause clutch judder when it was fine with the original clutch? Many thanks for any advice.
  2. Hi all, Can anyone offer any advice on replacing an aircon condensor on a C-Max 1.6 petrol please? I reckon I could do it myself with a pattern part for £100 but I'd like to know any pitfalls in advance ... like seized up pipe connectors and such like. Anyone? Many thanks.
  3. Aircon Condensor Replacement

Hi all, <snip> Doesn't matter, I've just read another thread on the subject and I think I'll get the garage to do it.
  4. Aircon

I had my aircon recharged in March 2008 and it lasted a year. I had it recharged again this March and it's stopped working again, so I only got about 3 months this time. I was told (by Kwik Fit) that their machine would only charge up a system that passed certain tests. Can anyone with any experience of this advise how I should proceed? Should I ask them to perform more diagnostic checks or should I bite the bullet and take it to a dealership and empty my wallet? Many thanks.
  5. Simple question Wheelie

    Cheers! :D
  6. Simple question Wheelie

Thanks very much for that info Dickster555, my C-Max is on an 05 plate but I don't know the year of the donor car. Looks like I need to do some homework :)
  7. Simple question Wheelie

How likely is it that 16" 5 spoke alloys from a Galaxy will fit a C-Max with the same sized rims? I've seen a set for sale but have no idea if they have the same hub (without looking of course!). Thanks :)
  8. Key Battery

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. It's about 3 weeks since I put a new Energiser battery in and it seems fine. I'm hoping that I've just learned that (IMO) Tesco own brand batteries are rubbish.
  9. Clock Slow

    Thank you :)
  10. Clock Slow

No matter how many times I put my radio clock right it ends up being slow. I've been told I can download a firmware update for it but my Google searches reveal nothing. Can anyone advise please?
  11. Key Battery

    Thanks Russ. :)
  12. Key Fob

I posted this in the C-Max forum but I think it's better placed here. I've owned my 3 year-old C-Max since April this year. For a good few months the remote key fob has worked fine but in the last 2 months I've gone through 2 fob batteries. When the batteries are good the fob works normally. Does anyone know if they can malfunction and drain batteries abnormally quickly? Many thanks. :)
