  1. DPF filter in 1,4 petrol ??

TBH it probably won't be long until some meddling fool finds a way to convince someone in power to put some fandangled stupid extra filters on petrol cars just to annoy us 🤔 Sent from my SM-G930F
  2. DPF filter in 1,4 petrol ??

Er nope. DPF stands for DIESEL particulate filter. Sent from my SM-G930F
  3. Dashcam supply - Focus ST3 2016

I'm speaking from experience (on my previous mk2 and current ST) where I had periods when my central locking was sluggish and the boot wouldn't unlock with the fob. On the ST I would find that keyless entry was slow to respond and the boot would only unlock if the key was out of my pocket. My assumption is that the plug in adaptor was imparting RF interference via the cable to the camera that jammed the signal to the RCL antenna to some effect. Wiring it in via an ignition live supply rather than a circuit affected by RCL stopped any any interference immediately. Leave the adaptor plugged in to the power socket, lock the car and then try opening the boot and you may well experience the same thing. Sent from my SM-G930F
  4. ford radio code needed

From this point, any posts asking for codes will be deleted unanswered. Any posts concerning codes from any member with a post count of less than 10 will be banned immediately. Anyone over 10 posts will be suspended from posting for 7 days. Anyone who has more than 10 posts but of such to be considered as 'padding' in order to avoid a ban will be suspended for one month. These measures are at the full discretion of Forum staff and Moderators. Sent from my SM-G930F
  5. Dashcam supply - Focus ST3 2016

I would avoid tapping into the socket feed from 61 as in my experience this interferes with the central locking signal making locking and unlocking glitchy. Much better to stick with fuse 87. Sent from my SM-G930F
  6. Sony Dab Aerial

What year is the car? It should be a Fakra connector. I have a guide to fitting DAB to a Focus in my guides link that is under my posts when viewed on a PC. It lists all cables needed and miscellaneous parts. Sent from my SM-G930F

Sorry, edited my post above. Read it wrong on my phone screen. Sent from my SM-G930F

I reckon option 2, if it doesn't give the desired function then try the others in turn. Sent from my SM-G930F
  10. What is this switch?!?!

I would hazard a guess that at some point your car had sensors fitted and for some reason they were removed and a bumper without sendors was fitted. The noise obviously indicates that the control module is still in place but can't find the sensors. Sent from my SM-G930F

Download Forscan, register on their forum and then to allow you to access HScan programming you need to request an extended licence. It's all free and lasts for 2 months (you can reapply after that if needed again) To get the extended licence you need to install the software on the laptop you intend to use and copy the device serial generated in the licence section of the software and include it on the licence application. Copy/paste the emailed serial into the licence page and all good. If you don't see what you need to alter on Forscan you can also try FoCCus. If you want to see what parameters you need to look for then enter your VIN here- which will pull up an asbuilt data page identical to that used by FoCCus so you can play around without affecting anything on the car. you can then save the configuration as an XML file which can be opened directly by FoCCus and written to the car. It's also a handy reference to the asbuilt config if you think you have made a mistake somewhere. Only thing to be aware of is that sometimes rewriting your asbuilt can cause random DTC to pop up on the car, just read and reset them from within Forscan and you're all good.
  12. Fiesta sat nav problem

May need a master reset, should have a menu entry for that. Sent from my SM-G930F
  13. Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi

Why car manufacturers don't do silicone hoses as standard is beyond me. They last longer, don't split, look far better and don't collapse under vacuum. Price difference is marginal too. Sent from my SM-G930F
  14. Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi

Ford don't give an interval to change fuel filters but I advise doing so every year (including housing seal) to avoid fuel pressure errors popping up. Also keep an eye on the intercooler hoses as they are prone to splitting, tbh it is a good idea to swap them out for silicone ones to forestall any future dramas. Sent from my SM-G930F
