  1. if the notebook has a an Nvidia Card, might want to check with Acer as there is a know issue wit hthe GPU on the cards. this can be caused and can been seen by things like flickering screen, Artifacts on the screen, and distortion. if the gard is onboard the motherboard then i suggest new notebook unless it has warranty as this will cost you as there will be the cost for the part (expensive) and for the engineer (even more expensive). Or if your a rogue like me, you have house insurance, and i was walking up the stairs and oops i dropped it, coverage done!
  2. yip, my car is about to go in for a new Rear passenger side Hub Assembley, New 100 quid, used 40 quid. goto good breakers you will get part fairly easy, fiting is another issue. PD
  3. duggie73 (PSN) playing only cod 4 mw2 (Badly)
  4. Beta 10 looks very much the same as usual, except a few tweaks here n there, more of a brand change than an upgrade, mind you i havent done much with it other than install and use for basic usage. here a question for you all, With the Win 7 RC version now on its way to O/S Heaven, how are you folks going about the move to RTM? just interested to see how people adapt!
  5. Hi, i have now done about 14k on them and they are still going strong, starting to see some wear on the pads but the discs are bang on. I would recommend them definetly as they have been the best one's i have bought since i got the car. Also i would recommend the Mintex discs n pads set. To give you a better idea, i've had car 3 years, rattled about 60k out the car, and done up till now, 3 changes of pads and 2 disc changes as the discs were gubbed when i got the car. i also have a heavy brake n gas foot! hope this helps B)
  6. i have already bought these discs on Ebay, and they work just great, been using them now for about 9 months. Feedback: only thing i am finding is that i can hear them rub from time to time, but usually cleaning them makes this go away. so if you dont mind the regular cleaning to make rubbing noise go away then but them, if not, buy ford or other more reputable brand
  7. finds the new look preferable

  8. i miss the good old Ford Cosworths, RS Escort, Fiesta & Sierra, they were a thing of beauty. gone are the days of individuality and breaking the norm. Used to love the woosh ofthe turbo in the Escort cossie, stuck the the seat stuff love it!
  9. If i was being ultra honest, i would say if you;re going to play games online, get a decent PC, much better overall. But i agree with your points, i think its like PC vs Mac everyone has their preference, and will bring good points to the table, its purely down the user and their needs and what their friends have too
  10. Hello all, Names Paul, 36 years young and work in IT. Live in Cumnock Scotland, originally from Glasgow. Drive a 54 plate Black Mondeo ZETEC TDCI. History of faults so far: Conrod bent wrecked engine, new one under warranty. Dual mast Flywheel & Clutch HandBrake cables, both of. some idiot smashed into the side of me! So all in all, very interesting & Expensive 3 years since i got the car. i have been adding comments already, so good to be part of the forums, means my dull day @ work can be filled with Forum trawling!

  12. Eve Online, been playing for 7 years, awesome! now i have started being pwned @ COD 4 MW2, very good except for 12 year old scum monkeys calling my mum a crack !Removed! when i kill them! Still love it tho!
  13. ok had a read of all comments, Xbox will take you roughly 30 mins to 50 mins to set up with all updates. PS3 took me 10 mins to set up Also, Xbox will charge for the online Experinece. PS3 you buy the game, away you go! Xbox is using a HD drive, of which only Xbox support whereas PS3 is future proofed with a Recognised Blueray format drive. If you want wireless, Xbox will pump you for 45 quid for a dongle that they rebranded and made for probably 5 quid PS3 its built in. Xbox allows Sky content, for a price, PS3 BBC Iplayer is there, for free. Ohh and if someone can confrim this last comment, PS3 you can stream your films etc from Server to PS3 to watch (I know this is correct), Xbox, cant? i get my 2nd PS3 on Friday, and will be set up in bedroom where the other is used more as a player in livingroom from Streaming. PS3 winS!
  14. TBH, i would recommend a clean install, thats if you havent done it already. Win 7 Ultimate is the Business, and with Office 2010 Beta, mmmmmmmmm. i work for a computer company and i get to test these o/s etc before they realease so i have copies of all Win 7 now i know people will slate me for this, but i think MicroSh*te have upped their game recently. Mind you with the horror that was Vista, they couldnt get any worse. How did u find the process?
  15. I advised in an earlier post that Hankooks are a good midbudget tyre, done me well during the last year and the heavy snow we have just got rid of. Very good tyre, and if you goto Performance Tyres in Scotland, they will hook you up for about 58 quid a tyre
