  1. A bit off topic, but Lenny the picture underneath your last post - is that how your car is looking at the moment? :D :D If so, holy jaysus... Me gusta :)
  2. Hey Ollie, Love what you did to the car so far, but wanted to throw a suggestion your way and see what you think of it. As most people will probably notice, I am an unreal fan of lowering the suspension and making sure the car is sitting as low as possible. (visually gives fantastic results, for the performance and the driving pleasure, it varies on each person individually :D You have fitted the ST alloys into it, which makes it look extremely good, but if you would even dish out about 200 quid on a nice, reliable set of coil-overs and lower the car, i think you will be extremely pleased with the outcome :D
  3. What make are the coils?
  4. Getting some good ideas here. SeanW having a nice idea with the dash cam, was actually considering doing that to my car with the amount of lunatics on the roads of Dublin ;) I must say, some of my favourite modifications that I have a huge interest in is suspension modification. My personal favourite is the AirSuspension which allows you to control the exact amount of clearance between the car and the ground, however more viable option being either coil overs or lowering springs (savings of around 2000 quid :D ) Another modification would be changing the wheels. I have to admit I like the factory wheels on the Focus, but wheels such as the rotiforms are my personal favourites. One of the major changes that is constantly bugging me is the standard factory Sony 6000 CD radio that I have in the Focus. There is no AUX connection, even though there is an AUX button on the radio itself, so was considering installing an aux socket, however think the better (visually) option would be to replace the unit with a fancy double DIN and make it look the business :)
  5. Hey Joss, Welcome to the forum :) If you're looking for some performance modification, one thing that's always good to start with is to consider the suspension. There are many advantages to doing that ,some of which include improved traction and handling (one of the main advantages people always go for) and it also makes it stiffer, which for some people gives greater comfort. The best way to figure out if this modification is for you, would be to have a drive in a car with a lowered suspension and see for yourself :) There are many different ways in approaching suspension modification, most common are lower spring replacement, which seems to be the cheapest option. There is also the fitment of the coilovers and my personal favourite, Air suspension :P Air suspension is great for shows and visual tuning but not the cheapest option :) As others have said above me, engine re-mapping is one of the major performance modifications that is great if you're looking for additional bhp. It's expensive enough, but it will definitely be one of the first step if you want to properly modify the performance of your car :D Other things that you can do are endless, such as exhaust replacement, adding an induction kit, wheel replacement, break pad replacement etc... :D Hope this helps ;)
  6. Like James said above, there is a high possibility that you will need to play around with the wiring, but if they are a direct replacement (consult with the seller) then it should be straight plug & play. Whenever they will be fitted on the car, make sure to post a few cheeky photos, they will look the business on the fiesta :D
  7. Franko, the car is looking absolutely mint :) Absolutely loving the wheels and the green Monster claw, pure heaven :D If you don't mind me asking, from the pictures I can see that there is very little clearance between the tyre and the body itself. Do you have coils on the car or is the clearance so small because of the larger alloy? :D Was going to suggest fitting in a lower suspension to top off the look on the car (and also to improve the handling ;) ) but think you would be scraping the body if the fiesta was lowered anymore. Nevertheless, fantastic looking car and pleasure to see :)
  8. What's up FOC peeps, Just been sitting here and thought about this a lot but wanna see what other people's thoughts are about this. What are some of your favourite car modifications that you do or would wanna do? Mostly on my mind things such as lowering the car on coilovers or springs, exhaust modifications, engine re-maps and things like that? See what other people are thinking ? :) UkPhilLad
  9. Hey Hey, Just have a quick question to all of the Ford fans out here. The Focus has been getting extremely dirty due to many different factors, i.e friends eating in the car, smokers in the car, dust and other every possible option of getting the car dirty. :/ Been willing to clean the car out for a long time but haven't done a full valet before, and want to make sure that it looks like it's brand new from the factory (or close enough to it :D ) What do you guys think will i better get the full valet or do the valeting myself at home? UKPhilLad B)
  10. Absolutely awesome job mate :) Well impressed with that car and definitely looks the part now as well :D Dunno if you're into this , but if this was my car the perfect finish to this would be to get a set of Coils in and lower that bad boy down :D Also improves handling as well , never mind looking like a little devil :P
  11. Yeah man, it's been stalled. Nothing has been happening, we need to get ourselves organised and get something going. Really wanna see the Ford Owners showing everyone how it's done :D
  12. Well Kiefer, nothing has been agreed yet but hopefully something will get moving soon :D Seeing as the "so-called" summer is approaching, there should be a good date for everyone to get together and enjoy an awesome day out :)
  13. Hey Gary, Thanks a mill. The quality of some of them is not the best, seeing as I really need to invest in a decent camera for next year's event (or maybe will manage to get one soon for this year, who knows :D ) The 3 series is absolutely breathtaking and that Polo with the hay bale was just brilliant :D Oh yeah, a lot of serious effort, time and passion is put into them and the badge is just an addition really ;) Sure there's the event next year, which I'm already looking forward to and then there's the Mondello Modified Live on the 21st April which sounds like it will bring out quite a few decent attractions, plus there will be Drift championships and Time Attack championships, so will be a bundle of fun for everyone. :)
  14. Hey Guys, I know that this might not be of interest to everyone but on the 7th April there was a car show held in Belfast, Northern Ireland called DUBshed. As a huge car enthusiast, I always like to check out modified and tuned cars, see new ideas and appreciate the amount of work that other drivers put in to show their pride in their cars. My first encounter with DUBshed was on at the same time last year, when a colleague of mine who owns an astonishing example of Audi A4 1.9TDi told me about it. Ever since then, I have been following the scene around Northern Ireland and the Republic. Anyways, without much further ado, just wanted to put up a few pictures from this year's display and hopefully you guys will enjoy it :)
  15. Cheers guys :) Definitely gonna be at the Forum more often seeing as college is finished for now anyways :D Yeah that video was just great, only thing that I really didn't like and will never like is the lexus lights for the focus. They just simply do not go ;) But on a side note, really considering getting a set of those RS rims for my wee focus ;)
