  1. Hi, Checked them all and no issues here. It's only the illumination lights flickering, all other lights including headlights are fine. Just been told by Ford it will cost around £500 to replace as the new cluster will need to be programmed! Anyone know of an easier fix? Thanks
  2. Hi, Can anyone help? My wife's 57 plate 1300 fiesta has a problem with its dashboard lighting. When she's puts the headlights on the back lighting behind the clocks flickers on and off. There is no dimmer switch and was wondering if anyone has had this and resolved it before I throw money at it? Thanks, Dave.
  3. Hi, Alternator packed on the car, which was replaced and now kicks out 14.4v rather than the 12v previously. Since this event the car is very difficult to start when cold, it was always on the turn of the key. I have since replaced all glow plugs, as they had a good supply voltage but thought they might have stopped working. Still no joy on the cold start. Anyone got any ideas on this as it's driving me scatty! Engine flys round on the starter but just takes a hood few goes to get started. Thanks, Dave
  4. Hi, Can anyone lend assistance with the removal of the inner security panel on my 1800tdci, 58 plate? The electric window has dropped slightly and as such I need to get to it. Apart from removing pop rivets etc, is there another way to get this off without dismantling the car? Assistance would be gratefully appreciated.... Dave.
  5. Hi, Does anyone know how to take off and get to the front electric window regulator on a 2008 Focus 1800tdci? Looks a bit of a nightmare!!! Thanks
  6. Hi, I have recently bought the above car on a 58 plate with 44,000 on the clock from a Ford main dealer. Shortly after we bought it we noticed a bad flat spot at junctions / roundabouts, put your foot down and you had to wait to go! Took it back in for this problem and they said they had remapped it with an updated programme? Anyway, flat spot not there but it sounds like a tractor and now shudders when switched off! Still has the same acceleration, but does seem a bit more juicy! Anybody any ideas so that I can go back forearmed? Thanks, Dave.
  7. Hi, New to Ford Forums as been the owner of the Laguna 1900dci for a few years, trouble free I must say as it always had regular oil changes and the EGR cleaned as well. Felt the need to 'upgrade' to the 2008 Focus Titanium as it just looked so much better. My question is: it looks like a major job getting to the EGR valve on the Focus 1800tdci, so can you clean by spraying EGR cleaner into the inlet without causing damage? Also if you remove the casing on the top, do the vane type things pull out to give some access? Many thanks, Dave.
