  1. it was obviously just an oil service then, did you get charged for a full one?
  2. Did you just get the clutch changed or was it the whole kit (clutch,pressure plate,release bearing and slave/master cyl)? I can never remember what 1 is inside the g/box

  5. I'm not sure but there could be a relay as well if there is I would change that too
  6. were there an metal filings or any small metal particles in the old filter? if so it could be your fuel pump going, I had exact same on a 2004 focus tdci it was gonna cost loads so I got rid, I hope in your case its just air but you need to get the codes read first
  7. Get a small jnr hacksaw and cut down the side of the nut cos that track rod end is knackered anyways, its time consuming but i find its the easiest way to do it if you haven't got access to an angle grinder
  8. Stick some forte diesel system cleaner in and take it for a good drive and rev it higher than you would normally through the gears you'll see sum crud come out and it should run smoother and change gear smoother
  9. Has it ever been serviced? the fuses are the same as long as you use same ampage you'll be all right but it looks like you need a good service looking at the state of the plugs I would change the leads as well
  10. Get rid of it cos you aint gonna trust it anymore unless you can find the actual fault and fix it but how much more money do you wanna throw at it

I fitted a tow bar on my car myself I know I have the mk1 but it was so easy and no cutting at all I wish I had done a guide now I think it was 6xplastic screws and 2x10mm nuts behind the carpet in inner wheel arch and the bumper was off (don't forget to disconnect your lights though) take off the strenghtener and the tow bar just slid into the chassis and all the bolt holes are already there 'simples' like I say I have the mk1 but I can't see much difference give it a go overall it took me about 3 hrs but there was a few cups of tea in there and some cleaning in areas that never get it

  13. sounds like it needs a good service and a new fuel filter to start with then a good glug of diesel system cleaner
