  1. Sitting in a traffic jam with it in gear and the clutch down puts no strain on it what so ever.
  2. so any changes at all will change it? used to driving 14inch alloys with thick bouncy comfy tyres
  3. Currently got a 1.25 61reg fiesta and its on 15inch steelies. The tyres that are supplied are dunlops and i find them a bit "thin?" whats the chunkiest tyre you can fit on these rims for the fiesta? I always find chunkeir tyres more comfortable.
  4. Well i rang ford today and they want £50 just for the belt >.<. i can get it from eurocarparts for £11 made by dayco. plus ive found this on ebay
  5. Ok belive ive found the belt i need. I can't find anywhere online where a actual fitting tool is? does one even exist? if not and its just a tight belt how do you fit it? Im doing this with my brother who knows more about cars then me, but want to know we are doing it the correcy way before we try.
  6. Yep its come up as a 1.25 duratec 16v signa. As the belt has no tensioner then how do u remove and put on a new one?
  7. Well I thought it was a 8v? Maybe it is a 16v im not to sure. It's a 2012 fiesta studio 1 25 so thought it was a 8v as it was the 60ps one. It only has 1 belt as I have no air con. There's only 4 cogs it goes round. One the water pump. Alternator. The cog it goes round on the outside plus from the looks of it the tensionor Seems like a automatic tensioner I could be wrong. Also be good to know if the bely someone posted a few posts up is the right one.
  8. Also how do you change it? i see there tensioner at the bottom but i can't see how to slacken it apart from unbolting the tensioner from the engine?
  9. no its not a ecoboost one. just a standard 1.25 8v 60ps
  10. Anyone know where i can get one of these from? Been googling this evening and can't seem to find anyone online i can actually buy one. Anyone know a site that sells them? Or has a actual link to onei can buy Thanks
  11. well considering i went from a renault clio 182 2.0 182bhp to this.. its fine for motorway and slip roads
  12. really :s mines a 61 plate 1.25 60ps fiesta studio... Mines fine getting to 70mph. i must say it does struggle at hills but when the engines warmed up its fine. i wouldnt say there dangerous.. and its get to 70mph fine like i said which is all you need.
  13. Misses dropped of the car to ford today and as always trying to fob of a woman. Said if the belt squeeks but its not faulty they won't replace it. Also steering creeks and tried to fob her of sayinv the lubricant for the steering column is only valid fpr a year lol. Bare in mind its a 1 year old car. She told them to ring me when they've checked it over Good luck ford trying to fob me of later.
