    hi, help again. our ford transit 2.4 140bhp is burning oil. I can smell it but cant see any. I keep topping it up. there are no engine noises, no rattles or nothing. no loss off power, very fast. someone said it could be little ends. anyone with ideas, thanks

    thanks. Will try the cheap option first. My husband will do it lol. I keep making cups of tea and he's happy. Not much luck with this van. New turbo, alternator and back axle so got to try the cheaper way First. Thanks for replying

    I was told it was egr valve as on tick over it sometimes has a bit of a jump but apart from that its ok

    thanks. its water cooled, going to take it off and try cleaning it, then buy a new one if it doesn't seem any better

    hi, I have a 2007 transit, 2.4tdci. I have been told I need a new egr valve. would I need a water cooled one on none water cooled and any idea on price. I looked on ebay and there are all sorts and all prices. help please

    more help needed please. on my 2007 transit 2.4 td, it has 2 batteries under the seat. as its hard to start going to try a new battery, but which is the main one for starting it. thanks

    hi. Thanks. Could be any of those. Does blow out a good puff of smoke. Could be battery. We have only just got it back on the road as it has been off the road for about a year and the same battery on

    hi everyone. could do with help again. my ford transit 2007 2.4 td is hard to start of a morning or anyway hard to start first time. when it starts its ok for the rest of the day. could it be my heater plugs or something else. any ideas, thanks. kate

    thanks for all your help. i will send it back up transit centre and make them check and do it, i paid them plenty and i think they should have checked it proper when they fitted new turbo

    169000 miles. and still is. it is on the driveway. when its on tick over and just rev it a bit you can see oil coming out of the top side of the cat where the seam has lost its weld

    they said I needed a new turbo as it was blowing a lot of white smoke

    transit centre said I needed a new turbo so they fitted a new one. don't think they did anything else to it. will I need a new cat now
