  1. Thanks haha, I'll have a go and post up on here when it's done, if I remember I'll take some pictures as well
  2. Ok we're there any other kits that looked better? I'll have a look on YouTube and see how much of a job it looks
  3. Ok thanks (: I think I'm going to try one of the repair kits first,just to see if it solves the problem, if not then I found an Andrew page branch about 10 mins from me, so ill get on to them for the parts and replace everything!
  4. Oh just another thought.. How easy is it to actually remove the assembly? I took the foam liner off about half way, but didn't really see any simple way of it all coming out of the door!
  5. Ok I haven't seen just the assembly without motor, only the complete unit, which from ford is over £200! The kit I was looking at was this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-FOCUS-ELECTRIC-WINDOW-REGULATOR-FRONT-RIGHT-/220766159689?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AFocus%7CPlat_Gen%3AMK%20I&hash=item3366b04349&_uhb=1 Which comes with video instructions, although I have been told its very important to wind the cable correctly or else! I just figured I might be better off spending £15 and chancing it because it might just work, then saving myself lots of £. I'll phone around and check if my local motor factors provide the part you described. Thanks for your help (:
  6. Ok so I haven't posted on here for quite a while but I'm in need of some advice, hopefully someone can help. My driver side window recently decided to stop working as it should, so I took the door card off, to be greeted by what used to be the window motor cable, now tangled up into a massive knot. The cable itself is now useless due to the knots and creases etc, but I have found two options for repairing it; either a complete new assembly (motor and cables all pre-assembled), or a cable repair kit for repairing the existing components. So has anyone had any experience with these kits? It seems like the way to go as it is massively cheaper, but I am unsure to difficulty and how to actually fit it? Any help or suggestions or thoughts greatly appreciated as always, thanks in advance!
  7. Ok thanks, ill have a look and see if mine are heated or not, think ill be ordering myself a set soon though!
  8. Thank you! Ill have to go back to my local parts suppliers for the sealing ring as I forgot to get that! Is there any gasket or anything that ill need as well? I was planning to just use sili-gasket but seeing as I'm going back anyway, I may as well do it properly! Thanks again!
  9. Hi, love the guide, but just wondering, does anyone know if its possible to fit them to a mk1.5 focus?
  10. Hi all, I'm after some urgent advice asap, hope someone can help me! I have a mk1.5 focus (02 plate) 1.6 petrol, and I need to replace the water pump. I have the part but have been told by one person that I need to remove the cam timing belt to replace the pump, and by another person that I don't have to remove the belt. I need to know for definite before I start as I don't have any of the 'ford special tools' to do the timing, so I can do it myself if I don't need to remove the belt! Any suggestions greatly appreciated before I start pulling it to bits! Thanks in advance, Dan
  11. Hi, I have similair remote key problems on my 02 focus, I tried a new battery, but that gave no improvements. The fault has now been diagnosed as the buttons in the remote breaking down inside and not functioning properly, apparently this is a common problem. Ford charge about £160 for a replacement key, and that price includes programming. Hope this is of some help to you. Dan
  12. Hi, thanks for the fast reply! Would these fit? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16-x-Alloy-Wheel-Nuts-Ford-Fiesta-Escort-Focus-ST-KA-Mondeo-Fusion-Capri-M12X1-5-/130666813695?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyres_Trim_Nuts_ET&hash=item1e6c5958ff#ht_3076wt_1270
  13. Hi all! After some advice again, hope someone can help! I'm looking for a complete set of wheel nuts for my focus, as the ones that are on it at the moment aren't complete, over time some have been stolen and replaced with general hollow nuts etc etc. I have found a few different sets, but what I need to know is where i'd find the size and offset etc that I need? If it makes any difference, I have standard ford alloys on, I saw somewhere that some aftermarket wheels require different nuts. Anyway, hopefully someone can help me! Thanks in advance!
  14. Ok so I can re-use the parts that are already on the car, just as long as I apply some silicone on re-assembly?
  15. Get a better head unit (;
