  4. Hi everyone. a little bit about myself. I'm a Air Conditioning engineer and have always driven a Ford from my first M reg Escort 1.4 to a 01 fiesta and nowIi have a 04 1.8 Focus TDCi sport. I have recently had problems with my focus. The turbo recently failed pulling in all the oil through the sump leaving me on the side of the road with thick white smoke coming from the exhaust. I have had the turbo replaced but now the performance is reduced and after about 15 minutes of driving I'm still getting some white smoke coming out of the exhaust. I have been advised from the mechanic that changed my turbo that it could be due to my catalytic converter being blocked from the oil that went through it and my exhaust. Before I go ahead with changing my cat i would appreciate abit of advice as to what could be causing this after a damaged turbo.

  6. I have recently had a turbo failure on my focus 04 plate 1.8 TDCi and since getting it back from the garage having the turbo replaced the car has lost about 40% performance and smoke starts coming from the exhaust when engine comes to temperature. I was wondering if this could be due to a blocked CAT after the turbo pulled alot of oil out of the sump and through the exhaust system? ny advice would be much appreciated
