  1. Thanks Delboy, Best answer yet. This link gives me some good answers. Peter.
  2. Hello Martin, Had no other problems only this engine compartment panel. The rest of the bodywork is ok. Peter.
  3. Whilst washing my KA MK11. I noticed through the black plastic cover that the wipers pass through below the windscreen that rust had started and it was fairly advanced. So I had to remove this pressed steel cover at the upper rear of the engine compartment and and give it a very good cleaning and I found that rust had penetrated through the panel in a number of places. So I then gave it a good coating of Hammerite rust proofing under coat and then a couple of coats of Hammerite black top coat. Hope that this will keep it at bay for a while. Surely this should have been made out of plastic so that this problem would not have risen in the first place. Suggest that you all check this out because mine is not going to be the only one. COME ON FORD GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER ! Before you all think that I am a FORD knocker I love this KA Peter.
  4. KA Mk2 Zetec 2009 Fuel Consumption as dropped from 50mpg to 39mpg on long runs. Anybody got any ideas. Been serviced regularly and up to now very happy with this car. Only 19000 on the clock. Peter.
