  1. Get a written statement from them that the settings are correct then, when the tyres wear unevenly, demand new tyres.
  2. It says manual transmission only, so no.
  3. Reading the report from Mike Vine it sounds like there was two faulty components and this was the cause of high temperatures, not a design fault.
  4. Probably dirty oil, when is the service due?
  5. Break in period will be the same, the euro 6 emission regs will strangle it and give the impression of less power.
  6. It will after a bit of bodging
  7. Fuel pump!
  8. Tyres will have a year of manufacture date on them so they may be older than 2 years. That cracking is due to UV and ozone attack also when tyres are not used. Driving around helps to keep the oil within the rubber compound moving around. I'd contact Bridgestone and send them some pictures, might get a partial refund.
  9. When you had the first new motor fitted was it a complete engine or a short engine? Sounds like they fitted a short motor and the original cylinder head. The third engine smoking could be oil and water in the exhaust being burnt off.
  10. The Gates catalogue also only lists one belt, their part number is 6PK1708 and this drives the ancillaries as well as the power steering pump. The ContiTech catalogue has the same their part number is 6PK1705
  11. You should check the oil weekly at the very least.
  12. So you disconnect the battery and connect the ammeter from the battery to the positive lead and measure 18A?
  13. eBay or a Ford dealer.
  14. Average asking price from a dealer, shop around there are plenty more Fiesta's available.
