  1. Did you get anywhere with this in the end?
  2. My brother has got a 2005 Focus and his power steering pump has decided to pack up on it. Seeing as it's not even 4 years old yet, I find it hard to believe that a power steering pump would fail within such a short space of time. He is only the second owner from new (middle aged woman had it first) and we know where it was bought from and serviced annually so does anyone know if we would have any chance of getting the delaer to pay for part of the cost of replacing this as it is only just over 6 months out of warranty. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
  3. Jack the car up and find the pipe where it comes out underneath the car. Find something thin (but not sharp ended as you could pierce or tear the pipe) and stick it up there as far as you can. After another massage from inside, if it doesn't work then it's a trip to the garage unfortunately! If it is the AC, I am amazed that the garage has never thought of it before now! Hope you get it sorted either way but keep us posted! Good luck!!
  4. Yep, that sounds about right! Exactly the same problem we had! I wouldn't bother unclipping anything. The pipe in question is only rubber which you can see from underneath the car. Basically, i wiggled and rubbed that :P from INSIDE the car and something obviously came loose. Will probably help if you left the AC on before hand if you can because the build up of water behind it might put a bit of pressure on the rubbish that's causing the blockage. Keep us updated on whether or not this solves your problem. Seeing as it's been going for quite some time, i'm sure you'll be happy if it is!
  5. Send me a private message on here with your mobile number and I will call you to discuss it. It's not very easy to explain when you write it down!
  6. We had a W plate Fiesta which had this problem and it ended up being one of the pipes that come out of the AC. If you're convinced that's not it, then don't bother, but if I were you, i'd turn the engine on, put the AC on, get out of the car and lay on the floor looking towards the back of the engine. If water starts dripping out, then it's not that pipe. If you get little or no water, then it may very well be blocked. Just a suggestion!
  7. Do you have air conditioning? If so, have you noticed whether or not it seems to happen when the A/C is on?
  8. I'm quite new to all of this so I wouldn't know where to look for the engine Mountings. Let me know how you get on with Ford on Tuesday. From experience they will do anything they can to get out of doing work under the warranty!
  9. Hi, i have a knocking noise coming from the front of my car. It only seems to happen when you accelerate hard in second and third gears. I've looked under the bonnet and there's nothing obvious there. Had it on ramps and nothing on the exhaust or anything so i'm now starting to wonder if it could be either the clutch or the gearbox. Has anyone else had this issue and, if so, what was it and how did you solve it? Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
  10. Sorry to raise this again guys but I am having this exact same problem with my 56 Plate. Water is getting caught in the passenger side door. It seems that, when the door is open, the water pours out of the bottom but as it's shut most of the time it seems to be building up and then coming into the car. Can you provide some photos as to exactly what needs cleaning here as this is starting to cause some concern. Oh, and I got the same response from Ford. "The seals are only covered for a 12 month period". Thieving B*******! Thanks in advance for your help.
