  2. any further info on the codes after the guages have done a full sweep? i still dont know what they all mean.
  3. did you get the bottom of this?
  4. how much would a re-gass roughly be then? as it may well be that.
  5. great info, thanks. so the ford TIS is a service manual guide?
  6. hey, did you have the ignition on when you tried to press the hood button? it has to be on, but not the engine running. also if the boot is not shut properly the hood wont open, safety feature so the boot and hood cant both open and hit each other. so open and shut your boot. if it still doesnt work try the hidden boot lock in the locking compartment on the back panel inside between the seats. hope it helps..
  7. hey, how do you do the test sequence on the streetka aircon system? what did you do to the low pressure switch? my wifes aircon is absolutely rubbish..
  8. mintalkin, your a legend. speedy reply and worked. many thanks :D
  9. great info guys - thanks. where did you get the lambda/o2 sensor from, how much £ also? i looked at the digital display to find codes etc, but after the gauges do the sweep, theres probably 8-10 different readings when pressing the button to go through the numbers/codes etc. what are they all!!? which are the fault codes, as im sure one was a digital rev counter reading...
  10. hi, after replacing the wifes battery, the radio needs the code entering. which of course we dont have, after doing some searching the 'm' code or serial number is needed to identify the radio's code. ours is M001285 (its a 6006K) hope someone can help.. thanks
  11. was it the sensor then? we have this also on the wifes streetka, where did you get the fault code reader and sensor?
  12. we have this intermittent engine light now and again on the wifes streetka. been advised its a lambda sensor fault. she seems to notice it is on more frequently when the fuel tank is low. i need to get it checked on a diagnostic check. ours runs fine too..?
  13. hi, my wifes streetka does this sometimes. you have to make sure the panel that hides the fabric roof is shut properly, like you say theres a microswitch, if its not shut the boot will not open, as the 2 lids will hit each other. so its a saftey device in a way. open the panel and slam it shut then the boot will open. it affects the alarm also sometimes, if its not all shut properly.
  14. we spoke to a guy at the ford bodyshop and he said the same. we didnt get any service history and ford say its not on the database? ...surely it is? can the original dealer where it was bought be found on your computer system at ford? we can then speak to them and hopefully get a new service record. could you find out at work for us please? if you can, send me a pm please and i will give you the car details. many thanks, rob.
  15. if you go into the parts department at ford, ask at the desk for some paint, they will ask for your registration, they will look up your cars details on their database and will find your paint code or colour name. from that they can make the paint to order. they have to have the colour, what if you had your car repaired in the ford bodyshop after an accident? the streetka/sportka is only 4-5 years old... hope you have better luck this time mate
