  1. Spot The Poor Vauxhall!

I like how the adverts say "Yes, it's an Astra". They might as well say "The new Astra, it's not as crap as the last one".
  2. TV'S looking at reviews ??

^ I think 1080i is supposed to be slightly better than 720p but could be wrong. Isn't it connected with HDMI? I thought anything supporting HDMI would support 1080p.
  3. Fiesta Bulbs List

Yes I think you're right, I forgot not all Fiestas have that festoon bulb in the middle. Is it only the ST that has that?
  4. TV'S looking at reviews ??

You can't go far wrong just looking at looking at TVs on Amazon, if you look at the ones with best reviews e.g. And there are plenty of good review sites that have lists of good TVs to look at e.g.
  5. TV'S looking at reviews ??

^ I won't argue with that, and even with the PS 4K or whatever it's called, it might support a smoother framerate at 1080p than 4K depending on how the new games are programmed. I don't have any of the current-gen consoles, but am happy with my 1080p monitor for PC gaming. It can go up to 144 Hz, but my graphics card can rarely keep up with that. I don't fancy buying a 4K monitor and then needing to spend about £500 on a graphics card just to get the most out of it.
  6. TV'S looking at reviews ??

Good point, but I think Netflix already has some 4K content. And at least a 4K screen will be ready for more 4K content in the future, but it's probably better to hold off until that's more widely available, and TVs will be cheaper and / or better.

^ The roof ones (courtesy lights) are the same W5W type, except for the middle one in the front light unit which is a festoon similar to the one I linked above, but you need a smaller size so it will fit more easily. I'm not sure exactly what the size of the festoon should be, but all others are W5W. Edit: I think I was wrong about the festoon, might only be the ST that has that.
  8. TV'S looking at reviews ??

I wouldn't worry too much about the smart features of the TV because they won't keep those up to date in the future (or at least that's been my experience with a couple of Smart TVs). You'd be better off with a £30 Fire stick or any other streaming box (or console). As for 3D / 4K, that's a personal thing. I like 3D and own quite a few 3D Blu-rays, but I do most of my TV / film viewing on my PC because I have a cheap 7.1 surround system with it :) If I bought a 4K TV I would occasionally sit really close to it to watch a new film, or 3D Blu-rays etc so I would certainly notice the extra pixels. But for now I just have a 32 inch 1080p TV which doesn't get used much.
  9. WiFi/Ethernet help.

I've also ran a Cat6 cable the length of my flat, just so I don't have to rely on wifi for my PC. I was lazy though so it just runs along the edge of the wall lol.
  10. WiFi/Ethernet help.

I've heard that even the older Cat 5e cables are ok for gigabit, and would think any laptop / desktop made in this decade should support gigabit ethernet. Did you check the speed of the connection reported in the adapter settings? This should be either 1000 Mbps or 100.
  11. Fiesta Bulbs List

^ I approve of your choice to use halogen bulbs instead of LED :). I replaced all my interior bulbs with this one: And this one for the courtesy light: I wouldn't recommend that festoon bulb though, it was a bit too big and I had to bend the contacts to get it to fit.
  12. Fiesta Bulbs List

^ It's probably worth trying a pair of the Philips bulbs to see how you get on with them. Both get a lot of praise on here but it seems like the Osrams are more popular. And I'll repeat my usual advice which is to get the dipped beam adjusted so that you can see a good distance ahead.
  13. Fiesta St + Mp215 + What Else?

Sounds like some good (and expensive) plans you have there . I'm still not planning anything else, happy with the car as it is now. Will you be at Ford Fair to show off your new upgrades? I tried wind deflectors but the clips damaged the trim around the top of the windows, and I've noticed that on lots of other Fiestas, so it's something to watch out for. I don't think I'll ever get any wind deflectors again, unless they are designed specifically to not damage or scratch the windows.
  14. Fiesta Bulbs List

^ I would try searching on Amazon and Ebay for W5W LED. There are plenty of other good sites to try such as HIDs Direct, and there is a huge selection of different LED bulbs out there. I don't know which to recommend because I went for halogen bulbs myself, just because I prefer the even light spread.
  15. Fiesta Bulbs List

^ All of the interior bulbs except one are W5W. The exception is the courtesy light (I think that's what it's called) in the middle of the light unit just next to the rear view mirror. That is a festoon bulb, but I forget which size.
