  1. As I said its what I read and if it does take me from around 52MPG up to 60 then its worth it, if it doesn't then I have a set of alloys and will be happy. I will keep on my research but if it works then happy days.
  2. I had the 05 focus 1.6 and didn't really get on with it and then with a new job my mileage went up a lot so was looking at a diesel So went for the fiesta and I love it, feels responsive, nice amount of power to cruise along (you wont win a race in it). seats are comfy and all round just prefer it over the focus. cheers for the welcome people.
  3. I will keep an eye on it and report back with my finding's.
  4. That could be true, the reports i have seen have taken it from 52MPG up to 60MPG i know it doesn't sound much but it all helps. I know the cost will out way the benefit for a while, But as i only have steels on there are the moment i think alloys will make it look nicer as well as help MPG, also i am in the position where i need 4 new tyres so will have to spend out for them anyway and the cost of alloys on top of new tyres is smaller than getting them just because i would like them. Cheers for the help.
  5. I have done the Tyre calculation and it comes out as 7mm difference which is 1.3% so I am happy with that. Cheers for the advice, I take it when you say fitments you mean the PCD and studs? I have done some research and found that by going down to the 14" wheels with 175/65 tyres on them it will increase your fuel consumption, I do a lot of miles and if this helps then its worth a try.
  6. Hi everyone This may be a silly question but i don't know the answer so thought i would put it out to the public. I have a 59 plate ford fiesta and it has the 15" steels on it, I am looking to get some older 14" alloys wheels for the car. Will the older alloys wheels from older fiesta and Ka's fit straight onto my new shape fiesta? Any help will be appreciated.
