  2. Hi all, I have been read that Ford KA owners are having problems with leaks to the rear Passenger footwell. I contacted Ford Customer Relations helpline, and having explained the problem I was given a case number. The car was booked into Jennings in Middlesbrough, they charged me £72. Jennings stated that they had received 3 memo's about the leaks on KA cars. The first mentioned a grommet on the rear bumper, the second the passenger door seal, and the third was the drain ducts running along the car. I got the car home and the leaks were still there. I removed the passenger and rear (base) seats, all the door trim and lifted the carpet up. The underlay was soaking and it fell apart as I removed it. I dried all the area with a hairdyer for about an hour and a half, I would now be able to see any new leaks and hopefully where they were comming from. My wife had noticed that the rear footwell had soapy water in it. I found that when I used the rear wash wipe the water poured from the black plastic hose pipe that runs along the inside of the car. Ford recommends using a double compound glue to seal the whole, this should take about half an hour to set, before testing to see if this has worked. Hope this info is of help to other owners, as this has been a very frustrating problem to fix. We will of course be writting to Ford Head office to try and claim back our £72.
