  1. Loss Of Power

thanks chaps cam belt changed at 100k and again at 148k when I had a new water pump fitted due to a broken impeller. it was serviced last march before its mot but that's not to say I haven't had dirty fuel at some point. service due again in march but I will now take it in earlier and ensure all filters are changed.
  2. Loss Of Power

hello all. I have a 1.8 tddi focus estate. although its now covered 153,000 miles it drives like a dream. recently it has started to loose power. it drives around the city fine but sometimes when on an open road it won't go over 60 mph. I have pulled over and switched the engine off when it has done this and then it seems ok again when started. does anyone know if this electrical ? mechanical ? glow plugs ? injectors ? turbo wearing out ? or ? any help welcomed. thank you
  3. Please Help. Heater Problems

  4. Please Help. Heater Problems

thank you for your replies..Ademk1 yes it does seem to warm up when on a run (ie over the 2000 rpm) I will get the water pump/impeller checked again..

  6. Please Help. Heater Problems

hello all. I have a problem on my 2003 focus estate 1.8 tddi .. the heater is only working sporadically. the heater matrix has been flushed through and blown through with an air line. I have had a brand new thermostat and housing fitted and still its the same.. the car starts and runs fine. the temperature gauge starts on cold and slowly rises to sit in the middle. it doesn't over heat but does smell hot and the electric fan will come on even this time of year. it has been to three local garages who have spent two days on it. they don't have any answers. please can anyone help. I cant afford to pay ford main dealer prices for them to look at it and then there is no guarantee they will know.. please help, thanks, Steve. Tel 07909994973 Norwich
  7. firstly, hello all. i've just joined this site although i have never owned anything but fords. it certainly is a well set out site etc. i have been serching the www for answers to the following: i have a 03 plate focus estate 1.8 tddi. it has had a leak on the drivers side which seems to have come from the bulkhead area. it has soaked the thick sound proofing matt and the carpet front and rear (drivers side only).. i have checked the skuttle panel and only found minimal debris. from what i have read on here its not the pollen filter because that is on the pasesnger side. has anybody else had a problem like this ? i would appreciate any ideas and help. many thanks, Steve Norwich
