  1. I tried changing the 'control box' which is mounted next to the fan and I heard it once before it stopped again.... Hope someone else knows the A/C system in more detail then me to help you Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  2. Does the radiator fan come on when you turn the A/C on. This should come on to cool the condenser. My fan has the common problem where it doesn't work so when i'm stationary with the A/C on it blows warm and you can hear the compressor clutch going in and out until i'm moving again.
  3. Garage has changed battery and alternator and things are ok.... voltages still aint the best when under load so now i just need to check earthing points and the smart charge connection on the back of the alternator. Read the wire is prone to breaking.

  5. My battery light keeps coming on. At first it flashed on for a second or so once every couple of months. At the weekend it was on for a full hour journey. Been to the garage and they changed the alternator saying it wasn't charging correctly (what I was expecting going by the symptoms, diming lights at low revs Ect.) but after picking it back up 2nd journey I made It come on again, restarted the car and the light remained off for the rest of the journey.   6. Have you checked for split hoses? I had a lack of power and plenty of black smoke when the inter-cooler to egr pipe had a small split in it.
  7. I usually get about 180-190 miles from £25. But that is mostly town driving.
  8. If it's like a surging on and off of the power then check the pipe between the intercooler and egr valve..... Had a split and caused that sensation with plenty of black smoke too

  11. I also have a 2.0 tdci and have had Hot start issues. I was told there has been an ecu update for fixing this issue. Could this be the same problem??
  12. Hi i have a 2006 mk3 mondeo with the 2.0 TDCI engine. I have a problem with starting the engine if it is already warm. After i have stopped the engine, eg. when filling with fuel, and then try and start it again it can sometimes take 20+ seconds of turning over before it will run. It usually then runs really rough at very low RPM before smoothing out at the expected idle speed after a blip of throttle. This same problem occurs with or without running a glowplug warming cycle and the warmer the engine the worse it seams to be. When the engine is cold it starts up perfectly fine every time. I plan on having a look round the engine bay for split pipes ect, but thought i would ask out on here for any suggestions.

  15. The removal tools finally arrived the other day so i finally got chance to remove the radio. The large quadlock connector looked connected properly but it appears that someone has used a different connector at some point as there was a lot of push connectors. The single aerial plug looked in good condition and was connected. I decided to do a bit of an experiment to see if the interference was still there with the aerial cable disconnected and it wasn't. Does that indicate that the interference is coming down the aerial cable or was it missing just because there was no signal for it to interfere with?
