  1. Hi thanks for that, I have access to IDS/Forscan/ELM Config so hopefully wouldn't need to go to Ford. What parts are need for instance to update the stereo to one from say a 2012 on model? Is it just buttons part, stereo/cd unit and screen? There's some kicking around on eBay, some with DAB as well. It's the Mrs car and she likes the quirky stereo but isn't one for having additional things bolted in. Pain in the backside! I see there are some Chinese replacements on eBay as well. Does anyone have any experience of these? Cheers all, Chris
  2. Hi all, We have recently bought a 58plate (MK7 I believe, newish shape that started in 09) Zetec S. The stereo is just a basic Radio/CD unit and was wondering if it is possible to fit any of the newer/better versions? From what I've read so far the units are coded to the car so I'm not sure what has to be actually changed?i.e screen as well? I have a bluetooth module that I removed from our S-Max when I uprated that to USB so I'm thinking that I maybe able to re-use this? Has anyone had any success in doing this or is it better to just fit a standard unit with a facia adapter? Cheers, Chris
  3. Thanks all! Great info. I had a quick look at the F-Super 2 and that doesn't list the S-Max. Can anyone confirm that it does work and also if it resets airbag/abs and other fault codes etc. I've heard good things about the Torque app before. Is this used for real time monitoring or can it be used to reset faults in different modules? Once again thanks for the responses. Cheers, Chris
  4. Hi all, New to the forum so hello to all. Just getting an S-Max and was wondering what OBD software everybody uses on them? Had mainly Audi/VW's in the past so used to using VCDS/Vagcom. Any help you can offer would be great. Cheers, Chris
