  1. Hello Guys, As per the title, is this a tricky task or quite simple? I'm keen to get the part and get stuck in but if the glass has to come out and its a real muck around i might leave it for a garage. Does anyone have any instructions or knows where they can be found? Cheers, Steve D
  2. yeh but i actually am unable to get to my messages the option has disappeared
  3. I cant get to my PM's anymore either - whats happened??
  4. Scangauge didnt pick any error codes up, you say the fuel pump but isnt it common rail, therefore the fuel delivery is controlled/timed electronically rather than by the pump itself?
  5. bump - nobody any idea? :)
  6. Cant be good if the turbo needed changed at 50K, got me a bit worried now! Turbo should last the life of a car
  7. Sorry to complicate this but on the way home i thought ahaaaaa - i have a scangauge II sitting here!! set it to TPS and when it was accelerating all by itself the TPS was zero? would that still suggest the sensor to be faulty? Cheers, Steve
  8. Thanks again! i'll go for that, well i'll try to get a second hand one - or is that a bad idea - are they common failures? should i go brand new?
  9. Hello, hopefully someone can help to diagnose my problem. Seems like the throttle is sticking, here's an example of what happens: In slow moving traffic (1st gear), raise the revs to for example 2000RPM then let the throttle pedal come back but it doesnt - it keeps going at 2000RPM........until i dip the clutch then the revs return to idle (900RPM). Seems really weird to me, its a little bit intermittent as well, and only happens in 1st gear and low speeds - engine seems to run a bit rough at that point as well until back to idle & then its fine. Cheers, Steve.
  10. Thanks for the info buddy
  11. Hi, Just had a chance to do this today but appears like the max amount of attempts have been exceeded as it doesnt work anymore, is it possible for Ford to reset this or does it mean a new ECU?! Cheers, Steve.
  12. Hi guys, sorry to hijack! regarding this exact topic - I had a good key with remote but wanted a second good remote key, i programmed the pats successfully then came to the remote keyfob, I used my old key to program the new fob but now the old remote doesnt work (already a new battery) - can it have only one remote programmed? the procedure above doesnt do anything at all now (no chimes)! What do you think - its a 2003 (53) Focus TDCi? Cheers, Steve.
  13. Cheers, i'll go with the fordy stuff :)
  14. Hi Guys/Gals, I'm planning to service my 2003 Focus 1.8TDCi in the next couple of days, when in Halfords looking for oil the best they have is Mobil 1 0w-40 Supersyn turbo diesel oil, I know that Ford recommend 5W-30 semi synthetic but i've always used Mobil oil and i'm sure that the Mobil oil is a better grade of oil anyway. Can anyone see any issues with using it? Thanks, Steve.
  15. Good find, i hope your right, let us know :)
