  1. 17" Buckled Alloy - Zetec S

I'm in the process of getting an alloy replacing for my Titanium, having gone through Ford Customer Relations, whom I've found to be extremely helpful, with my case, anyway. I got told when I put new tyres on that one of my alloys had a buckle, but got told the same, keep an eye on it, and then, before I know it, it's wrecked a tyre :( Ford Customer Relations told me the maximum they'll pay towards my new alloy is £75, as they feel this is substantial in refurbing a single wheel etc, though I begged to differ, and am now waiting to see what sort of goodwill gesture will now be offered as I feel it's unacceptable, the amount of posts I've read about alloy buckles, and I've told them that! Seems persistance is the key with Customer Relations! Hope this helps
  2. Quick - Steel Spare Wheel

I might be replacing the alloy as I was told it had a 'slight' buckle, but was then told "don't worry, it's not bad" so it could be a result of today's 'puncture' although there is no obvious damage to the tyre, nails etc, and the tyre has been re-inflated and remains with the correct pressure, but time will tell, I spose once it goes back on the car, weight of the car etc, IF it goes back on, cause tbh, I'd rather just replace than have the inconvienience of a flat tyre, and being a woman! But I will take it to a tyre place to see first.
  3. I have a quick question! Got a puncture today and had to use the spare wheel to get me home, but the car book says not to use the alloy wheel nut bolty things with a steel wheel, but that's all I have! Ford never supplied any wheel nuts to accompany the steel spare, should they have?? if not where can I get a set for future use? I'm also gonna need a replacement alloy for a Fiesta Titanium 15 spoke, but my local ford dealer are wanting £160 for 1, but I've saw online places what do them cheaper, so I'm wondering if anybody has any recommendations of any online ford genuine part places. Many thanks
  4. Buckled Alloy.. And Two New Tyres

Titanium alloys. The steering juddered under 30, but seemed to improve slightly above that, at faster speeds. It would be interesting to start a vote to see how many have had problems!
  5. Took the car in today to get a steering wobble looked at, outcome, needs two new tyres, has a buckled alloy, and needs re-balancing etc. Front tyres I suspected needed replacing anyway, but a couple people have said to me, how many miles has your car done, 12K? it's tyres should have lasted longer?? Should they have? It has Continental Contact Sport on it, so I don't know if these are just crappy wearing, or what. The buckled alloy, they've said isn't too bad, and can be left on the back?! I'm not really for doing this tbh, so I'm looking at having it replacing. But I have slight concerns, as having read other posts on the forum about people with alloy buckles, whether this is infact a Ford fault? I'm not looking to immediately point the finger at Ford, so I just want to know where I stand basically, you people who've had buckles with your Titanium 16" 15 spokes, what did you do, contact Ford? or just bite the bullet and replace yourselves? or submit claims to the local council? though, tbh, that's probably like trying to get blood out a stone. Thanks for any help offered! Abbie

  11. Nice forum upgrade!

I really don't like either :( why 'fix' what's not broken :( Sorry to all who like, and no disrespect, but it hurts my eyes also, the text is far too small, and the colour scheme is a little bit meh. I find it harder to navigate too, maybe it's still a work in progress, but I would like to see the 'Ford Owners Club - Ford Forums >' section bolder, as I found it hard to spot it at first, and was having to use the back button to get back to the Fiesta forum to view topics Other than this, it's working a lot faster today! :)
  12. Nobody bats an eyelid even when the thieving sh*ts are crouched by the alloys! I had all 4 of my silver alloy ford logo'ed valve dust caps taken!! From under my nose, in broad daylight too, while at the checkout, unable to get out! Umpteen people passed by too, and Tesco's? Meh, as much use as a chocolate teapot, simply weren't interested, so I shop elsewhere! Lol. *rant over* but I bet they look good on their friggin bikes!! Lol.
