  1. Thanks for replies folks, I eventually got it started, with another car on jump leads and removing one pipe from the injectors at a time (while my brother cranked it over) until diesel came through!
  2. Hi all, I have made the mistake of letting my mondeo run out of diesel whilst valeting it the other day. (And yes I do know better than to run a diesel car low on fuel, I was unaware it had been used and left back empty by another member of the household) Anyway, I have put about 20 litres back in, and have now run the battery flat twice cranking it over........ I have been told it is a self purging system. I have replaced the fuel filter and filled it with clean diesel today before trying to start it again. Any ideas? TIA Dan.
  3. Thanks folks, It seems I was mistaken, the car is a TDDI. I do need some information if you guys can help me out as there was no owners manual or service history with the car. It was a trade in to the guy I bought it off. What is the timing belt change interval for this engine? I do plan on either deleting or blocking the EGR valve and cleaning the intercooler and inlet manifold out as I would imaging with 100,000 miles on the clock it is more than likely due doing. Thanks in advance for any information. Dan.
  4. Hi, As per title I'm new to the forum, not new to the brand lol. Have had many Fords over the years. The most recent addition I got for a daily driver/ work purposes. A 2001 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Zetec Estate, I picked up yesterday afternoon for £700. I may have a few daft questions regarding the car shortly, but for now, some pics, excuse the quality (used phone). Dan.
