  2. Going to have it properly diagnosed , have been reading through many ford sites and it could be any number of faults! I'm hoping for a split turbo pipe as that sounds the cheapest lol

Hi all, I've recently been having an issue with a whining drive belt, when further investigated the belt was changed sept last year , the tension on it is good also, a mechanically minded friend reckoned it was a bearing in the alternator, there is no warning lights or loss of electricity just a very anoying whine especially when cold, does anyone know if the Volvo alternator will fit as they seem far cheaper than the ford option Thanks Mark
