  1. Hello guys! I did not find too much information on this thread about ECU remapping using Elmconfig. I read from Civil's and emerald293 posts that at least theoretically the uploading of remapped calibration files is possible but you need to have them already checksummed since ELmconfig does not do it itself. Have any of you been getting further on this topic? I have already been able to succesfully upgrade my Ford Kuga 136hp '08 PCM firmware to the latest original firmware you can find on Civil's webpage after backing up my VID-block's information. Lately I downloaded my Kuga's "calibration file only" with Elmconfig and sent the .bin file to enginetuning.eu for Stage 1 remapping, who politely told me they are not familiar with Elmconfig and they will refuse to remap the file since they don't want to take risks, even after checking that the calibration file I sent seemed to be completely correct. I would like to know, if any of you have been using Elmconfig for flashing remapped files and if you have, which remapping service (webpage) you have used for the file itself? I do not know or want to learn on how to tune the file with WinOLS or ECU Titanium since I am completely sure there are many people providing very good service around, so I will gladly pay for someone to do it. But the ECU reading/writing should be the easy part and I would like to be sure if it is NOT POSSIBLE AT ALL with Elmconfig before ordering cheap clones of Galletto or Kess v2 for just one remap. Thank you in advance and big respect to Civil for his work from Finland!
  2. Hmm, thank you Brigante, I still have hope :) It seems this is a topic which is not much known, since I cannot find any answer on the internet (I have found the methods for VAG cars like VW and Skoda, for e.g. and they are pretty simple) and have received many answers in forums telling "it is not possible through software" but already two Ford dealers here in Finland have confirmed me they can do it through software and the amount they would charge me for doing it. So it must be possible. I guess it is the same procedure in the Focus than in the Kuga.
  3. Hi you all! I have been playing with ELMConfig some time already, but what I cannot find anywhere is how to get my car's DLR mode activated. I do not mean attaching LED Daylights, but turning on the option that the headlamps turn on automatically at a lower power everytime the engine is running even with having the light selector at zero-position ("Scandinavian mode"). Is it possible to turn on with ELMConfig or ELM-FF2, or any other program using MS-can/HS-can cable? My Ford dealer wants 70 euros for the change which himself says "can be changed in the ECU without extra wiring" and it feels so stupid to pay such an amount of money for the feature, since I am able to change much more features with ELMConfig by myself... Here in Finland daylights are compulsory at all times, and it is much nicer to have them automatically than forget to turn them manually on every now and then :)
  4. So how do you explain, that they offer me the service "reprogramming" for 70 euros at Ford service? I have asked in two places, same answer.
