  1. Ha ha Thanks guys. Just worried me a little as I'd NEVER noticed until the other day. We had some pretty heavy rain and it became hard to see as I was sat waiting to move off. No way to turn this feature off I bet?
  2. Okay, So I've has this 08 Focus mk2 zetec for about 6 months now. Love it to bits, and after those first car nerves settled down I stopped 'looking' for faults and began to simply enjoy it. However, something I just want to run past you fine gentlemen is this... I was driving in the rain the other day, wipers on full (not double speed, not intermittent, but just normal) when, as the car eventually came to a standstill at a junction, the wipers suddenly switched to intermittent. They remained in intermittent mode until the car started moving again, at which point they returned to their normal sweeping pattern. Just wondered if this was some kind of feature, or whether I've discovered a fault. Hopefully somebody knows what I'm on about and any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance guys
  3. Had a look at lunch time and no menu options to do with this. According to the manual I downloaded mine is a Sony CD Generation 2 stereo, don't know whether that's the same as the 6000CD RDS, but everything matches in the manual and my stereo. It is working perfectly fine now, the only difference is the radio display illuminates when a door is opened as opposed to how it previously illuminated when the fob was used to unlock the doors. Thanks for the help though, appreciated :)
  4. Can I just ask, when you say it could be a case of going through the settings, how do you mean?
  5. Ok thanks. I'll investigate further after work and report back with my findings. Thanks for that :)
  6. If it was the fuse would the unit spring to life when I opened the door? I'd sort of ruled a blown fuse out with it coming on as soon as the door is opened
  7. Ok, this may be a weird one but it's gonna drive me insane. My girlfriend "accidentally" left the car unlocked, and the keys in the ignition last night. It was a good four hours before i realised they weren't where they should be. So I found them in the ignition, locked the car and went to bed. This morning I unlocked it using the fob and the display on the dash came on as normal (mileage, mpg, miles left etc) but there was nothing on the radio display. Not even when I opened the doors, turned on the ignition and started it up. 5 minutes later I decided to give the 'On/Off' button another go and it came on. No problem, everything working fine. But now I've noticed that it no longer seems to bring up the display (time/date) when I unlock the car using the fob, like it used to. Instead it only comes on once I open a door. Anyone experienced anything like this? Think it's the Sony 6000CD RDS EON
  8. Scratch that last bit. It's the Sony 6000CD RDS

  10. I've noticed since buying this car in April that it gets up to temperature a lot quicker than my old mk1 Focus. This morning, I took it out for less than 5 minutes and the gauge was sat at halfway in just over half that time. Just wondered if this was normal, it sat at cold, then the needle must've jumped straight to half way, there was nothing gradual about it. It doesn't go last half way, so it isn't over heating. I just wanted to run this last you guys. Like I said above, it's a mk2 1.6 Zetec petrol.
  11. Has it lost some tension or is it a common noise to hear from time to time?
  12. Ah... Did nothing when I pulled it. Shall have another try of that. Lol Thanks mate
  13. Just noticed the lever down the door side of my drivers seat and wondering what this is for. Already know how to make the seat recline and move backwards and forwards, but not sure of this lever. It's an 08 mk2 Focus Climate I know this is a stupid thing to ask, but it's puzzling me
  14. Cheers lads. Only did it that once yesterday, but just thought I'd see if noises arising from turning the A/C on were common. I'll keep an ear out for any future noises
  15. Just sat waiting for the missus this afternoon and had the window down. So thought I'd have a little play with the air conditioning seeing as it's a new car (08 Focus Climate). I knew it came on automatically when you had the air vents turned fully to 'windscreen' and turned the heaters on, but when I turned it on today I could hear a whining noise which eventually disappeared. I then turned it off and back on, but when I turned my blowers onto number 2, the noise came back. Just wondered what this could be?
