I recently got my first diesel car, a Ford Focus (55 reg) 1.6 TDCi with 110bhp. While driving uphill from stop, the rpm of the engine wont increase beyond 3000rpm on 2nd or 3rd gear and the speed hardly makes it to 40mph putting me in embarrasing situations quite a few times. Also on motorway driving, the car seems to do quite well on flats and downhills. But uphill the speed reduces from say 80mph to 50-60 mph which is again quite frustrating. Is it quite generic for other users of this model of Focus or is it maybe because of some issue in my car? Regards.
