  1. I had the opposite problem with a fiesta. Blowing only cold air, changed the control valve from ford dealer, then only blew hot air. Changed control panel and made no difference. Bought another control valve and that cured the problem. The 1st part i bought was faulty! You can check the valve by connecting it directly to the battery terminals. The valve doesn't stay open or closed it pulses constantly to let varying amounts of coolant into the heater matrix.
  2. I have a 1997 fiesta whose heater stopped working. It only blew out cold air. I replaced the coolant valve to the matrix and now it only blows hot. I checked the electrical connection at the valve and it registers 12v whether the control is set at hot or cold. Is this right?
  3. My daughter's 2002 Ford Ka showed faulty charging. The alternator was changed and problem persisted. Some wiring changed by Ford dealer and alternator replaced a second time. Problem persists. Ford dealer says it could be an ECU behind dash and will cost £900. Any ideas.
