  1. Ka Abs Issue

Hello, I am new to this forum as I have an issue with a ford ka 2006 collection with abs light on. The car went into the garage for new disks and pads and front springs and new battery and did not have an abs problem, since fitting the battery it seems to have started and a while ago in car mechanics magazine I read that because the ford ka has a smart charging alternator that you must fit a silver calcium battery not a lead acid one as this can play havoc with the ECU or other modules on the car. They have had fault diagnosed as been the abs ecu module but I have found out the battery they fitted supplied by a motor factors is a lead acid one so my question is could this be the cause of the abs ecu fault been caused by wrong type of battery? as I don't want to get unit repaired for it to then be blown again by the wrong battery or anything else it could blow. Any advice is greatly appreciated!! Many thanks phil
