  1. Thanks for the responses. I decided to go with ALA in the end. Got my gorgeous new car today! :)
  2. Thanks for your response. I will try to get the dealer down to something more reasonable- would be happy to pay the figure you mentioned. Regarding internet companies, have found Frank Pickles ( and ALA, both of which seem to have better terms and be more reliable than some of the others according to the few reviews I've come across. Has anyone used either?
  3. Hi all. I've just bought a new Fiesta Zetec S which I'll be picking up this week- my 1st new car ever! Really excited! Having never had a car from new before, I've been doing some research into gap insurance and am struggling to find reviews to help me make a choice. The Ford dealer has offered £450 for gap insurance for 3 years, but that seems a lot in comparison to quotes I've found on the internet. However, have also found a lot of companies online which seem to have had endless name changes or gone bust, so I'm just wondering what everyone else has done about gap insurance and whether the general feeling is that it's safer to go with the dealer. Are there any reliable, long-standing companies out there which I'm just missing?! Thanks in advance for any tips. :)
