  1. Thanks for all the replies folks - really helpful. :) The Bosch wiper blades in my first post are pretty pricey - does anyone have any suggested good quality / cheaper alternatives?
  2. Hey. New owner of a Fiesta Mk7 1.25 Duratec 2009 registration and have a few probably silly questions that I was hoping someone could answer. :) Firstly, I have a three button key for the car, when I unlock the car, the indicators flash and the guide me home lights turn on. But when I lock the car - the indicator lights do not flash - so the only indication the car is locked is hearing the locking sound. Is this normal? Secondly, are these the correct Heko Wind deflectors for my three door? Thirdly, are these the correct wipers? Sorry for the daft questions - I just want some reassurance from fellow owners before I buy these things. Thanks!
  3. Hey. Recently bought a Fiesta MK7 2009 1.25 (60BHP Duractec) and just want to check whether these plugs from ECP are the correct type and pre-gapped? Thanks :)
  4. Hey, Looking at replacing the wiper blades on my 2007 MK2 Focus. Current blades look like this..... So will these Aero type fit? Thanks :)
  5. Think mine is cylinder ... can anyone do me a big favour and take a photo of the airbox (tell me what filter shape you have) so that I can see the difference? Oh and what oil is recommended for this engine? Thanks! :)
  6. Also the plugs do come pre-gapped though I can't figure out whether the gap should be 1.3mm or 1.00mm?
  7. I used EuroCarParts and entered by registration unfortunately both shapes of filter show up in the results. Is there anyway to tell without taking the airbox apart?
  8. Thanks for the recommendation ... this the correct K&N for my engine? Anyone have any advice on plugs?
  9. This is the 1.6 Zetec [100] so is this still a common 'issue'? I will be getting them to check the engine out anyway so will see what they come back with.
  10. Hey, Looking for service parts for my new Ford Focus MK2 1.6 Zetec [100]. Can anyone tell me what shape filter is required for my engine as it appears there are two types? Also can anyone recommend or advise which spark plugs are best/recommended and are they pre-gapped or do they require adjustment? Thanks for your help! :)
  11. Ha, sounds like Evans Halshaw alright! I've emailed the dealer anyway and asked them to take a look so will see what happens. I think I may run some injector cleaner through to see if that helps and I have read on other threads that cleaning the Idle Control Valve can often help .... though I can't seem to find a guide on how to do it :(
  12. Hi, Unfortunately due to the previous issues I have experienced and the location of the dealer I cannot simply take it back tomorrow though I can arrange for it be checked by another dealer in the network perhaps sometime next week. Though before I do anything I would like to hear from other owners as to the potential cause so that I am informed as I can be when dealing with the garage.
  13. Hi All, New member to the forum and new Ford Focus owner as of this evening! I've just taking ownership of a Ford Focus MK2 (2007 Registration) 1.6 Zetec in Black. This car was an exchange by the dealer (Evans Halshaw) as my last car, purchased only three weeks ago, developed an engine fault so the Focus was taken as an alternative. Anyway, I am quite happy with the car aside from one thing. I noticed tonight that when the car is idle that it feels quite rough, the rev limiter does not generally move from 800rpm however you can feel the engine physically 'shaking' for a few seconds then it stops then it does it again. Does anyone have any ideas what this might be so I can decide on what to do next? If it is something as simple as plugs or injectors then I might pop in some new plugs or run through some Redex or BG44K. If it is something that is more serious or requires further investigation then I will be going back to the dealer. Appreciate any input! :)
