  1. 1.0 Ecoboost

Yes, short shifting helps and momentum driving too, no sharp acceleration or braking, town driving is the worse, only getting 38 mpg, normally leave it on "how much in the tank" as the average mpg was depressing me lol Ford Focus Zetec 1.0T (125 BHP), extras Zetec-S wheels and privacy glass (free from Ford), rear parking sensors, colour: Dark Micastone
  2. FOC GAMERTAG LIST

  3. I was leant a C***a from my work to go to B&Q & back, I knew the roads quite well & was pooping my pant all the time as it felt like the suspension wasn't attached to the car, steering was very numb too, not an experience I would to have again. I also owned a 'N' reg one, pretty average car, never top of its class in any department, traded it in for 1.7 Puma after engine problems Ford Focus Zetec 1.0T (125 BHP), extras Zetec-S wheels and privacy glass (free from Ford), rear parking sensors, colour: Dark Micastone
  4. 1.0 Ecoboost

Just received my 1.0T last week while I was off work, spent a lot of time in town average dropped to 32.8 mpg :-s. Now back to my daily routine today it has started to climb already at 34 mpg hopefully will it will keep on climbing. Such an easy car to drive smooth & can't wait till I've run it in, so I use the full beans :-)
  5. Brilliant New Christmas Song

Ack agree to disagree, btw en.wikipedia.org/.../Killing_in_the_Name Ford Focus Zetec 1.0T (125 BHP), extras Zetec-S wheels and privacy glass (free from Ford), rear parking sensors, colour: Dark Micastone
  6. Brilliant New Christmas Song

Hopefully there's another Facebook campaign "Killing in the name" was awesome nobody could play it due to the swearing, but at least there no X thingy numpty winning with some tripe of a song BAH...BAH...BAH lol Ford Focus Zetec 1.0T (125 BHP), extras Zetec-S wheels and privacy glass (free from Ford), rear parking sensors, colour: Dark Micastone
  7. Brilliant New Christmas Song

Is it actually a Christmas song or some utter tripe just to make her more millions? Ford Focus Zetec 1.0T (125 BHP), extras Zetec-S wheels and privacy glass (free from Ford), rear parking sensors, colour: Dark Micastone
  8. More Power From Fiesta Zetec S?

Remember when tuning don't just do the engine, brakes, tyres etc need treatment too. There are also supercharger's u can buy, intercoolers not really required & you get instant torque lower down the revs than a turbo. Ford Focus Zetec 1.0T (125 BHP), extras Zetec-S wheels and privacy glass (free from Ford), rear parking sensors, colour: Dark Micastone
  9. Focus Cosworth

Very nice :-) Ford Focus Zetec 1.0T (125 BHP), extras Zetec-S wheels and privacy glass (free from Ford), rear parking sensors, colour: Dark Micastone
  10. Foc Official Corsa Bashing Thread

4th on, 2nd on is the aftermath of someone taken the bend quicker than the law of physics will allow, many an accident of this nature on that slip road
  11. Foc Official Corsa Bashing Thread

Just check the video is on you tube, search using (Charleston flyover crash) 2nd one down, it's only from the cab, the driver was lucky!!
  12. Possibly Getting Banned?

Don't want to knock anything here, might be different up in Scotland (where I am from) isn't double the speed limit, an instant ban & more so if your a new driver? You should also think about doing IAM course, could help with insurance, if your not banned but have a heap of points, could also help in court, if they see you are willing to learn, it's not all hand shuffling, I have read the road or tell tail signs some one is going to do something daft & take avoiding action, in a safe manner.
  13. Osx Vs Windows

I'm currently thinking of keeping everything the same (phone, tablet & computer) I have had an iTunes account for donkeys, own an iPhone 4S, a iPad (which I want to upgrade to the new mini as I have a MkI) & multiply nano's. I too will be using the iMac as a photo editor, the 3.0 USB connection will be helpful downloading the massive RAW files (25.4mb each) from my Nikon D700, as will the 1TB of drive space JPeg's range from 8mb to 11.5mb a photo after processing. PC's just seem to get out dated rather quickly, you always need to upgrade the chip or upgrade the RAM. Every piece of software I require can be used on the iMac, Adobe Lightroom, Minecraft, Microsoft Office. If you feel it meet your needs go for it.
  14. FOC Age group Poll!

Finally felt old once I turned 34, but then just bought a new house & back to Ford with a new Focus :)
  15. Shell Vpower Nitro+

I used to run the Super Unleaded all the time, when I owed a Puma 1.7 which was tuned & a Focus ST170 back then it was still < £1 a litre. The only time I felt a major difference was with the Puma, when I chipped it on Super & went back to normal, the pick up out of junctions & on roundabout was dreadful. The main thing super unleaded helps with is the carbon deposits on the back of the inlet valves, pottering around town is a major cause, taking the car on a high rev run or a road with tight corners & long strights, using the full revs, should help clear this, it will screw up your MPG if your trting to be Eco, but then if you don't your emissions go up. I would agree with above posts, unless your using a a high powered engine, once every 3 tanks, would be a good idea. Redex isn't cheap £7-8 a bottle & you put in ½ a bottle a tank, so couple of £'s at the pump, is cheaper option.
